From the Guts rule, is that actually defined anywhere as to what a "Danger Zone" actually is or is just the usual ambiguous thing that never got clarified at any point?
Yeah that's not the question of what you, I, or the majority of people think or generally qualify as a danger zone, the question was is the term "danger zone" actually defined anywhere in the rules. Because if you have a look at the rules the term "danger zone" appears exactly once in the entire rules document and it's what I took that picture of in the guts rules.
Fair enough, as I said it is probably an open ended case for scenarios as a hacking attack would be covered by the area of effect.
Hacking Area is defined as the Area of Effect of Hacking Programs, yes, but generally speaking scenario rules (e.g. Biotechvore Zones) don't tend to qualify for Guts Rolls given that an Attack is required and if you have an Attack (e.g. QAZ Creatures) you have entered the realm of the normal rules. The Spanish rules are not much better, but ironically enough, while it was poorly defined in N3 as well, it was much better defined back then. I think the Zone of Control of a Guard, Pheroware, or Jammer attack (stuff with the Zone of Control trait) would be the only things that qualifies as a Danger Zone atm, given that the Zone of Control trait is defined as a range and not an Area of Effect.
