Hi everyone, just thought that I'd share that I came in 2nd for Asia's first satellite event held over last weekend. Mission lineup was: Mindwipe Looting and sabo Unmasking Frostbyte Powerpack My lists are g%2BsSdG9yY2hsaWdodC1icmlnYWRlElRvcmNobGlnaHQgQnJpZ2FkZYEsAgEBAAoAhvEBAgAAhu0BAgAAhvYBAQAAhb8BAQAAhugBAQAAhjQBAQAAhb0BAQAAhu8BBQAAhjQBBQAAhbsBAQACAQAEAIW6AQEAAIb4AQIAAIb4AQIAAIYgAQIA g%2BsSdG9yY2hsaWdodC1icmlnYWRlElRvcmNobGlnaHQgQnJpZ2FkZYEsAgEBAAoAhvEBAgAAhu0BAgAAhvYBAQAAhb0BAQAAhjQBBQAAhvUBBQAAhvABAQAAhvgBAgAAhvgBAgAAhjQBBAACAQAGAIW6AQEAAIDAAQEAAIYgAQIAAIW5AQEAAIW3AQEAAIDAAQEA Feel free to ask away anything you have in mind
Well it was a really straight forward army and they really make up for a lot of weaknesses that heavy infantry or brawly armies face. This include minelayers and ability to deal with mimetism. However I find that hard ARO is a problem for this army, outside of a TR bot, you don't really have much choices unless you are willing to risk your prime. In the satellite, I had my prime up for ARO duty, however the ranges were often short-mid as I want them to go through the mines before engaging the prime. Aside from that, I think this army also have to plan for camos or units on rooftops. For me, I had Hippolyta in one of the list for such scenarios and in 1 game, she got a Lt that was prone on a roof. She is pricey, but her eclipse smoke means that you can choose not to shoot your way out for example of there is a tag watching an objective. It would waste too many orders for the prime to fight his way in. Overall I think they are fun, I felt secure with my gun fighters and amount of mines for defence. I can't speak for my opponents but I think it is still relatively fine? This is because there is no hidden or air drop troops in my lists, and anything they lose is from a straight fight that they are willing to risk. For how the army style, it is a straight up brawly army with some tricks such as GML with the pitchers. Hence I would say going first is very important even if the mission favours going 2nd. The lack of good ARO pieces and ease to go up to 12+ orders really favours going first.
For both lists: Waverider hacker Prime Vidoq Addition of either (Hippolyta + rover) or (hellblazer + CoC raveneye) My Lt raveneye holomasks as a beast hunter since that doesn't give away it's position during deployment or when I'm going 2nd A single 5man is sufficient for me and that means I get 13/14orders before jamming to oonga bunga into the enemy dz
I just expected the prime to go down at some point and would like to have a 2nd big gun. Else it will be a TA tinbot rover
You realize you can't holomask as a "Beasthunter with only two out of three mines left", right? So when your Raveneye pretends to be a Beasthunter and you use his Minelayer skill, your opponent can just ask how many mines that Beasthunter still has. If it's three, your opponent immediately knows that that's your Raveneye. Did that ever come up?
I was prepared to tell them if they ask, but they didn't. Just said, here is a beast hunter and here is a s2 camo, make of that what you will
Niet... You are required to disclose any Open Info. Many of us don't always do that with obvious/standard things (like CCW, pistols, fixed-and-famous loadouts) but we all should
Oh interesting, guess I missed that. That said most of my opponent probably didn't know about the raveneye as my CoC raveneye holomasks as a khd waverider but they didn't even bother to fight that
It would help if we had a clear list of what is and isn't open information. Most things are easy, some is not. And it's a pain to go to the rules all of the time to see if it is or isn't open.
More or less the above, if it is not on the list it is open information, even what mimetism the camouflage markers have (if they even have) is open information.
I wish it was that easy. I've only recently found that Chain of Command is private info. This is what I want: Ballistic Skill - open Combat Jump - private Chain of Command - private Weapons - Open when figure is revealed, private when in camo, impersonation, holomasked, etc.
If an info is listed as Private, it is Private. If it's not listed as Private, it is Open Info and you are required to disclose it. It's like your models have a datasheet on the head with IDs, vitals, weapons and ammos and so on. Where does it differ from the rules? The rules are alrready what you want
I don't want to got to every rule to see it. A list is nice and fast. But whatever, not like that will happen.
I literally already posted a screenshot of the list of private information from this page https://infinitythewiki.com/Open_and_Private_Information If it's not listed as private, it's open.
