Eh. I liked the Observance redesign and they did not feel like Sisters of Battle (who I also love) to me. But the chonky armor, massive swords, helmets, and obtrusive rough head implants for Torchlight... It is nice that CB is trying something different. But we will see how much Torchlight appeals to ther greater audience. I wish them well. But please give me some more Haqqislam models to buy!
I am actaully not sure if i like the new release. It does not blow my mind (but so did nothing for O12), but i also don´t go nuts due to the kinda "obviouse" Speze Marinze similarities. I like the Silverstar Rovers. If they are line infantery, that would make TB a realy cool gimmick. Nimrods and yellowjackets look fine to me, Striders dont realy are my type. The obviouse elephant in the room are the Hellblazers and the Silverstar, which are defenetly kind of Space-marine...ish..., but... i cant help but like the modells. But i don´t know if i like them in Infinity... from the Reinforcement Set i realy like Cammy and the Vidocqs. Nice modells. The Jackboots are... guys in armor with Jackets and boots....
Gets a solid meh out of ten from me. Looks ok but if I wanted a terminator with heavy flamer I'd go and play "the other" game
I like the Vidocqs and the LE ABH. Gotta see the Ment from behind to decide if I like it. Jackboots seem ok. Rest is not my cup of tea

Also, price from the store: 180€, with the bounty hunter at "22.50€". Considering all other Reinforcement boxes are 70€ now, that means Corvus has decided the new 8 metal models + 1 siocast model box costs 110€. I had doubts, the price has cleared them, not for me, thanks. https://store.corvusbelli.com/en/adepticon
I'll be picking up the Gladius at Adepticon but still on the fence about TB. the nice thing about the Hellblazers is, it looks like it wouldn't be too hard to clip off the sword and put their SMG on the hand.
Space Marine not happy It's RP, it's an Ultramarines release, and prices are adjusted accordingly. Seen that on the deep weeb : Spoiler: new silver surfer and inspiration for logo. Spoiler: save the democraty !
UPcoming! UPPP!!!!! Oh for crying out loud! Otherwise the prices are almost as uninspiring as the models. 110 for the box is really pushing it. It is higher per-model cost than the reinforcement boxes. CB tends to price boxes based on materials used and this one is full of plus-sized units but.... who made them plus sized in the first place? 0
The Americans are CB's biggest market, accounting for over 70% of their sales, there they drive electric monster trucks with driving AI, they have the world's biggest fleet, the world's biggest aircraft carriers, they eat 4kg steaks, they have XXXL size big macs, when they buy coffee from starbuck they don't get a cup but a 1. 5l container, they air-condition and heat even open terraces, road lanes are two lanes of road in Europe, buildings are 500 floor high, everything is bigger in the US, you need to adapt.
I'll adapt by finally selecting my YJ painting scheme: it will be the same as the O12 one, so I will use YJ troops as torchbearers. Remember: the big cars you think Americans have are not big cars, those are trucks. Because contamination laws from decades ago, and they don't need a different driving license for trucks, which is also the reason why the Tesla Cybertruck won't be seen much in Europe.
Side note, Americans will always be a big and lucrative market. The reason is the high disposable income. Household net-adjusted disposable income in USA is higher than in Switzerland. https://www.oecdbetterlifeindex.org/topics/income/
Not wanting to start an economic thread or US vs EU debate, but it’s really not a very good KPI as it doesn’t take into account wealth inequality (more skewed in the US than EU) nor cost of living being absorbed by taxes in EU (healthcare, schooling etc) that has to be absorbed by this “disposable income” of the American citizen
It includes social transfers in kind, such as healthcare and education. But yes, does not account for wealth inequality. This said, we're not sure whether wealth inequality is good or bad for the market of such hobbies. Or at least I cannot recall reading anything about it.
Detailed pictures confirm my initial opinion. TLB units look like they took a wrong turn on their way to a completely different game, Gladius team is great, particularly Vidocq MMR and Ment Agent. MMR looks surprising at first, but it's a good example of trying something new and making it interesting instead of awkward. Ment has the same kind of dynamism to her as Aida Swanson.
Yeah we have the "freedom" to choose a cheeseburger over healthcare. But even so we are also not spending on hobbies as we used to. If CB keeps up with the prices I may have to stop buying new figures and proxy more. I haven't played any GW game in years because I was priced out of the game. But even they have made some skirmish games that don't cost nearly as much as the big games. And now Star Wars Shatterpoint is out with a pretty good price point per figure. Good figures too.
