One thing that can be read is that the 10th item with most units sold was the intro box that got a 50% price cut near the end of the year (it was less than just twice the cost of the cardboard scenery), while the 6th most sold item was the Objectives cards. What I read there is that the entry cost for a single player is too steep, not only in rules (C1 players have been "once in a blue moon" around here, but now core mechanics like the order expenditure sequence are outdated...) but also in money, and that CB should revisit how to attract (and mantain!) new players.
I disagree. Everybody needs the new cards. Not everybody needs a new starter. Also, the Observance pack is in the top 10 list without discounts.
My store FINALLY got in product. But in very limited amounts. They were already out of the single YJ REF they got, and only had 1 or two of everything else. I snagged the new SP/HB Dire Foes because I'm splitting with one of the Haqq players.
Your store needs to start ordering from CB direct or a good distributor like MOE Games. The email newsletter about REM Racers today has a section that basically says "We know the big US Distros are rubbish, talk to us directly here"
It's a sensor, not an eye hole, most people don't have glowing eyes. Much like Wildcats don't have two long vertical eyes and Nisse don't have 6 eyes under their helmets.
Love the new AZRA'IL and Anathematic! Big Chonky models. I also really like the new Bran, he has aged appropriately.
Bran is probably one of the best designs I've seen from them. Zeros and the azrail are also rather cool. Captain Communism aka the Varangian is cool on its own, but I don't find his aesthetic very fitting. The anathematic in my opinion does not deliver. The old design was very clean, with great pose and fewer, but very fitting details like the forearm blade. New one is much more cluttered version of it.
I could agree here. Of course now CB are making all models in a new same style as ikadrons, but an old miniature were more elegant. And that enegance fits in it's role. Not just brute force. Not it looks less accurate. Others are fine. I just dont like terrain peaces on male zero, but that is only personao preferences. And asnusual a little sad, that azra'il would be in siocast)
Yes, agreed on the needless terrain pieces and I see your siocast concerns. Although we haven't heard bad things about the squalos, so hopefully things are getting better in that department.
My Max and Caskuda were good casts, cleanup took longer than metal, as usual, but I've found a good set of nail files and emery boards that work really well on the material. Glued together like a dream though.
My wallet is dreading Torchlight Brigade! But I'm excited for it! Now I know to save for Adepticon! I've been pretty happy with Starmada for the few months I've been playing them. The Az still looks kick ass! Anethematic looks great too. It looks more inline with the current look and reminds me of the old. The Varangian is not bad and I might pick him up at Adepticon. Oh man I want Bran! I'm irritated it's in a box with the Zeros though! I was using his old figure for my Beasthunter! This one looks like it will actually stay in place! He's also doing a Monkey style kung fu move! Oh yeah and Zeros look like zeros.
Why does the Super heavy Infantryhas tactical high heels? I like the rest. Except for the varangian... A doubleheaded axe is a terrible weapon it's heavier than a singlebladed axe you exhaust yourself faster swinging it and you always risk to hurt yourself when you swing it as there is a blade pointing in your direction.
What??? Wildcats dont actually have two eye-slits and Nisses not 6-eyed insects? And Hexx3r and Hellcats dont have one or two eyes on one side? Daaamn... Of course no one expected it to be an open eye on the helmet, but why not make it an eye-hole to see through with some augmented reality and hud? You know, in case your suit gets hit with emp or you *have* to shut down your fancy Combat Armour with Chameleonwear to sneak past hacker or someone using weird Voodoo Tech to tamper with camera feed and you need to see with your eye? And even if its a sensor - fine, why is it inside helmet? So they actually drill a huge hole in helmet making it less durable? Why not just place it on top of the helmet like Intruders do with MSV? Is there even place inside helmet to spare? And other than that Nomads finally beat any food and oxygen shortages on the ships so any regullar dude is as buffed as an average human. (And not a kinny one like they uset to be) Ugh. Don't mind my grumpy old man rant, they are just... too differrent
I was initially down on the new anathematic, it sure had a high bar to cross with original sculpt being the model that got me into playing Infinity, but I like it a bit more since I figured out that it's just a bad camera angle and one of his braid-blade things does not come out of his spine, too bad it'll probably be siocast and carving out the head out of his left arm will be a pain. Oh and sticking an ADHL from the KISS on an anathematic seems very out of place, but maybe we get a profile update and it'll end up being a pitcher lol.
