It's the same caskuda. But single pack and without the scenic base PS: Where the little arms of the lizard?
As I translate the blog posts and therefore read them, I can say that they've always communicated that the caskuda will be the same but without the scenic base, which also means that Max will be identical.
Yup, this is the general release of the Caskuda without the scenic base. They were pretty up front on the preorder pages that both Max and the Caskuda would be released separately without the scenic bases. Shocker as company does thing they said they were going to do.
I am interested only in sniper Scottish girl. ...I wonder, what happens with this skirt in zero-G. I could like Lizard, but it is siocast. So, strongly no again. Others are fine. Nothing special.
Me too. Maybe they printed not enough? Or in china with delays? Lizard is the oldest TAG in the range. Its a more than welcomed resculpt. But I am not so sure its in the vain of the old one, which was kinda cool while this on looks a bit strange because of the heels, that seems not to fit with the main body. Also the inbuild weaponary is gone. The old one was kinda hommage to the bad-guys in the first Appelseed movie. Its the same. Now available without Maxi. Yes. The box is absolutly missing a "joker" model. Also, like I mentioned before: CC-related troops with no CC pose ... but Swissguard, Ye Mao Hacker, Hätäte reinforcment HI most of the newer TAGs and so on: All have low CC but showed large swords, sticks, axes whatever. Oh and the BSG is supposed to be the Officer? I have to say the old ones had a ton more charcter(ness) in the minis then this modern versions. At least they are a modern version and the size fits more to the new stuff. In general even the charcters of SP like Acmon or Machaon look less charcterful then their older parts. Like they were in hurry.
I started my new Figure Release list for 2024. But how should I list the Druze? Technically there's nothing new. But it's three old figures with 2 old figures that used to be limited release. They are sort of new. 2024 Figure Release Aleph: 1 Release, 4 Figures (Myrmidons) Nomads: 1 Release, 1 Figure (Lizard) Ariadna: 1 Release, 1 Figure (Cateran) NA2: 1 Release, 1 Figure, (Digger) Combined Army: 1 Release, 1 Figure (regular release Caskuda)
Jethro and Arslan weren't limited release, just from products moved out of production. It's a simple repack.
As a Haqqislam player, I classify it as a repack. So looking forward to all the new minis in the reinforcement box.
Which is fine. The bad thing is the timing. A lot of marketing is about timing. They should have waited to bring out the second. One of the two is going to sit into the shelves or stores don't get because they won't sell.
not sure why Jericho was added to the Druze box but the JSA Expansion pack had the same Oniwaban from the action pack instead of Nakadai.
Uh, from my experience*? She's lacking kneepads. And it is not like the Ariadnans don't use them. Not wearing kneepads when fighting in urban terrain is a very good way to hurt your knees. The base also looks rather winter-themed, and our new Cateran is wearing above-the-knee skirt and poking out her bare knees into snow and cold ground. Maybe she bumped it already and it got swollen? Maybe she's on a fast-track to a rheumatism? Some kind of inflammatory problem at the joint? Either way, I wouldn't ask her out to dancing anytime soon. *not a doctor, but did my share of CQB training.
CB has been kinda lacking recently in my view. Not even sure what it is exactly, but none of the releases since maybe the O-Yoroi have excited me, and even that one needed some conversion work and was a pain to assemble in general due to the low-quality fits and material quality. Some of the most recent sculpts like santa phoenix and regular Bixie are outright ugly, and just compare regular Sforza to his defiance variant – it's night and day. Do we know if there has been some official notion about a change in design direction, some layoff or anything of the sort? Maybe it's that the golden years of Infinity for my particular tastes have ended, but I feel there has been an observable break in the designs at some point in the recent past. How do you feel about this?
That Cateran was meant to be the best release since quite a bit, and that new photo destroys that hope. It looks like CB made a miniature that looks good from a single angle. The left leg is a tragedy, way way worse than pose of Yara Haddad. Very dissapointing. PozdRawiam / Greetings
I watched especialy the Aleph SP resculpts and have to say (again) the new designs are kinda bland. The contens of the two-player box were a good and promising start. Not that we realy need the Thoras but the shields are very cool and so was Eudros new incarnation. The new and somewhat pointless Thyreos look also nice and so does the Hoplite (Shield again and cool armor). The Makhes are both great sculpts with fresh poses. But then came the characters. Acmon (look like his old sculpt (exactly the same pose) but less cool (the "glasses down" was not a good idea). On the plus side: He has his PF sculpted. Machaon don´t say docter in anyway, he says: Look I have a gun and sword and therefore I am some SP character, but I forgot which one... Again the Makhe (new unit, not resculpt) is cool as hell. The Agmea Marksmen (2 players box) missed the opportunity to sport not a sniper rifle due to the double role of the box for C1. Apart from this its the same pose. A little bit more bulky, more modern but still the same. The new box to come with Alke and Scylla is OK. Far form wow. Scyalls pose is a improvement because their old sculpt was kinda arkward on the hip section. Alke is bland again. More armor on her mane, not bad but seems not necessary vs her older sclupt which was a bit crazy pipi (langstrumpf;-). I was exicted for Phönix and after I this totaly unneccessary yoga pose I dicede that I don´t need him that much. I played SP without him for years (I also did not like his old sclupt). Whitout going into detail, I feel the same for lot of the resculpts for CJC. Especialy Kowalsky lost a lot of he personality. The new Wildcats (remember the cool HRL lady?) look very uninspired. I know its not easy to find some nice poses for every model, but this both are just boring. Okay some of the old Wildcats Combi-Sclupts were a bit in the old - very old - Alguaciles vain. TLDR: A lot of the the actual resculpts are only a modern more up to scale variant but they lack a lot of personalty or character.
I won't argue with you on your reviews of specific minis — I agree with most of them. I will however argue against the notion that it's somehow worse than in the past. That smells more like nostalgia bias than fact to me. There have always been hits and misses. And even you counted almost as many hits with the new SP as there are misses. Same with Corregidor: Yes, Wildcat+Evader Feuerbach box was a big miss. But new Tomcats and Zondcats (Carlota notwithstanding) are awesome imo. The Evader with AP Spitfire, the new Alguaciles, the Sombra, the Lobo — all great sculpts. And it was just like that in the past: Old Scylla was great — old Eudoros not. Old Wildcat HRL was great — old Moran not. And to give a CHA example, because you started with new Cateran: Old Scots Guard were great — old Paracommando not. At least personally, I can say I love as many of the recent sculpts as I did the old ones, just as I dislike as many of the old sculpts as I do the new ones.
