Just a few cool martial arts videos I thought I’d share. As far as Infinity goes, I think JSA and Yu Jing themes should have always been switched. China is too proud of their martial arts to let them die off, and still have many practitioners. They should be the one with a lot of martial arts. But in Japan and Korea, not many do their martial arts anymore. It’s of course still popular in action shows and movies but that’s as far as it really goes. Japan especially is all about technology. They would be the ones using powers suits, TAGs, etc. I can’t see things changing much in the next 200 years either. Even the story for YJ talks about a bringing back of old cultures to YJ. Martial arts would be a big part of that. This was interesting to see different styles of Chinese kung fu. This one is more dance than martial arts but there’s a lot of the martial arts in it. There’s Wing Chung, Nanquan (Southern Fist), 8 Trigram Palm (Ba Gua Zhang), Chen style Tai Chi Chuan. I personally know some Ba Gua and Chen Tai Chi Chuan. I’ve been practicing Yang style Tai Chi over 25 years. Another that I know but they didn’t show is Hsing-I (sing-E). Ba Gua and Hsing-I are both derived from Tai Chi. A good example of Bagua Never learned them but they are very cool! Tiger Hook Swords. Guandao. Named after the man/god Guan Gong.
