It would be grand if Tri-core kept the pure bonuses as it did before… like, c’mon, Spiral has nothing that would be OP if this was the case

One small detail, though, is that Tri-core can only be activated if the Taagma is in a Fireteam: Haris of exactly 3 members.

Any other situation (being part of a Core, a Haris that has lost 1 member, etc…) does not allow for Tri-Core to be activated

 

Also, remind that the activation of tri-core is optional

Normally, that an optional skill is inactive should be made public, but while in Holomask this is private info

And activating an automatic skill does not consume neither an ora nor a part of the order

So, in short, bear in mind that you do not need to put the Tri-core token on the Haris that has the skill until you activate it, so you can surprise your rivals by suddenly having sixth sense

i.e. they toss smoke and attack your poor Draal… but then you activate Tri-core and ignore the smoke and declare a BS attack ora without the -6! nasty surprise!

 

I’m just getting into Spiral. As a core triad I am taking:

Taagma VSR
Taagma Tricore
Brawler Doctor

Tri-Core says:

• This Special Skill allows the Fireteam Haris of its owner to apply the Fireteam Size Bonuses of a Fireteam of five members .

So I assume that means if you have a Haris with tricore, with all members of the Haris having Brawler keyword, it counts as a pure 5 man team?

 

Nope. It still only applies the size bonuses. That's why it's such an annoying nerf.

 

Nope, just the size bonus. Gives +1bs and sixth sense which can be really useful to maximise things like the anaconda haris if you're building that way but otherwise is a tenuous way to burn your already-limited swc
