Has anyone noticed the quality of the MREs that O-12 has been providing of late? Having spoken with some other commanders in allied forces, I have heard them described as an “affront to the human palate”. Thankfully, with Olkonir in our hands, we can have the finest chefs in the FRRM create something that will not be an affront to the human palate. That said, in light of recent events, I wonder if the MREs are even designed for the human palate? Just how long has something been rotten in the state of Denmark? Oh, the quality of military field rations has been the object of soldier's disdain for probably as long as there were military field rations. So much so that the MREs have been labelled "three lies in one" ("they aren't meals, they aren't ready, and you can't eat them"), or "Meals, Rejected by Everyone". So, while - as many great generals have observed over the history of human conflice - "an army marches on its stomach", the old Chinese proverb remains true as well: "hunger is the best of chefs". If Ariadna forces in Okolnir are unwilling to use the O-12-issue field rations, may I kindly request them to be donated towards Waqf al-Badawi? We could find use for such pre-made, shelf-stable meal packs: even if the food is not exactly appealing, a warm meal that doesn't require facilities to prepare is a very handy thing. If we distribute these to refugees, it will make a difference for many people - a difference between having a meal, and going hungry. If you agree, we'll seek an Okolnir-based, civillian transport enterprise to move the rations - at our expense.
We would be happy to provide the rations, however, as they are currently suspect, I feel it would be a disservice to the refugees to provide them as they may be toxic. As Waqf al-Badawi, if you can guarantee they will be tested throughly by the best inspectors of Haqqislam, I will personally transport them with Poor Devil 5 in order that they may arrive more quickly. @hortanium Major Wiliams, I cannot guarantee the attention of the best inspectors in Haqqislam, but I assure you - we'll find qualified specialists- on nutrition as well as microbiology - to give the rations a thorough testing. And test sample size will be increased, to improve the probability of detecting any possible irregularities. As for sending them by the means of Poor Devil 5, we're thoroughly grateful for the role this crew has played in the recent search and rescue operation - however I must ask whether tasking a vaulable air asset with essentially a non-priority milk run is truly the best choice. I'd like to thank Major Williams of the USAMC for his visit, which, I hope, will be a step towards improvement of Ariadna-Haqqislamite relations. As for the rations, Waqf al-Badawi had them inspected by Sword of Allah logistical personnel, as well as Bhai University specialists on nutrition and microbiology. all the ration packs have been visually examined: none of the packages was compromised. due to the reports suggesting the rations might have been spoiled or prepared of substandard components, the usual sample size for laboratory analysis have been doubled. Analysis resulted in no signs of parasite, bacterial or viral contamination. Nutritional value and composition were determined to be within declared parameters. However, the volunteer with military logistics handling the rations had observed that the manufacturer of this particular batch is quite infamous for skimming costs. Also, the rations have been labelled as "multi-ethnic", i.e. being culturally acceptable for a very wide range of people. This, in turn, made a very wide range of components unacceptable, as these won't go with one or another group. Resulting in rations that are equally bland and unappealing to, frankly, everyone. Having opened the required number of ration packs to take samples, our specialists decided to put the remaining contents of the already opened packages to good use, and test them on themselves. Confirming the suspicion regarding the "multi-ethnic" rations. The verdict being: when the alternative is starvation, the O-12 rations can be eaten. a well-stocked spices cabinet helps a lot. under field conditions, inculding a small packet of hot sauce is a solution. As the team has been told by a volunteer with a military background, "either makes it passable, or burns your taste buds so hard you no longer care".
IF any military personal is able and willing to find JSA forces around the area there should be a chef in the squad. If this is so, and your forces have any fish on them I am sure that the JSA chef's will be willing to make sushi out of it, as long as we can send some back to our own refugees in Guibei. Please do not give our chefs alien bodies or experimental "pilots" claiming them to be fish. This has happened before and that restaurant was indeed shut down with extreme prejudice.

Regarding our previous communication, In light of the results reported, the Druze contingent under Lt Cuddle's Peacemaker corps' contract hereby retracts the request of receiving the MREs in question, for they are no longer useful to replenish the base chemicals they needed to synthesize their most needed standard supply.
