Soooo first paint job of the year is done and I am quite happy with it. I experimented a little with the cutter coming out of his camo and I think it went okayisch. It will look fine on the table. Also placed some freehands on the Modell, but the high camera resolution does not do me a favor Spoiler
My little Collection. First of all; i am neither a professional painter nor do i call myself a very skilled one. I paint so the modells are painted, and because i refuse to play unpainted modells. I enjoy playing against a painted army so much more than against a silver/grey/black conglomerante of identical looking units. For me, it does not matter on what skill level an army is painted, as long it IS painted. And as the son of my father I always try to lead by example, so i see this as a motivation for everyone to enjoy =) Second: I am neither very good at taking fotos nor am i patient enough when it comes to take pictures of 6 Armys I hope it´s still ok and you can enjoy the pictures a little. Hmm. Yet another thread that would benefit from a “like thread” button. Loving your painting, especially some of the PanO stuff. Wish I’d thought of putting different icons like Porsche and stuff on my father knights! Excellent work.
Today something not realy painted but a little conversion of the McMurder: Based on fluff he wields a Templar Close combat weapon, which i guess was once carried by a human. The actuall modell carries a sword of the size that does not realy look like a normal human beeing is able to fight with it. So i change the blade to make the sword smaller (still a respectable weapon for a human sized modell to carry, but not this comicly oversized one. I thought it has a nice ironic ring to it to use an actuall Templars weapon for the conversion, the Black Sword of a Champion of the Emperor from the chapter of the black templars, to be precise. I think it was custom made for him, not one they had around, regardless this one does not touch the table, that is not a bad thing at all.
Since I realy don't like stupid looking fantasy swords that are a pain in the ass to wield I gave my stigmata a claw instead of a hand which makes him more able to push buttons, hack, scratch someones back and all the like. Also added some wires and tubes for nightmare fuel and stuff. Not the best high-professional conversion, but imho better than Frostmourne. Spoiler: le immagini
Greetings. This time a little offtopic: Since tripphammer TAG´s don´t seem to be a thing in the near future, i decided to use a proxy i like. So we have here one of the best, earliest and strongest woman-roles in cinema history in her Powerloader, plus some attached weapons. Nothing fancy, nothings special, defently WiP. But good enough for me =) And since Wabara is a thing, the size of the slighty bigger scale of Ellen Ripley is fine and since my fiance and i attend to start playing DnD I made her a modell for her little animal Companion. Extra points for recognizing =)
