Hi guys, I played a 150 point mission tonight and used Morans for the first time. I find the perimeter and boost rules a little unclear. I deployed a Moran on the door of a two storey building (CB cardboard terrain) and placed a Crazykoala in my half of the midfield. It was placed in my ZoC. Does it need to be placed in a way that has a movement pathway for it to be there? Another situation, I deployed the second one during an order. My opponent moved a trooper outside the Crazykoala's ZoC and climbed a building. Then their next order, moved the trooper to within the Crazykoala's ZoC. I know the Crazykoala is meant to move towards the trooper active inside its ZoC, but does it climb up the wall and into silhouette contact then explode? It says that obstacles block it from moving, but can a Crazykoala climb, since it is silhouette 1 and movement rules state a trooper can climb over obstacles larger than their silhouette? It is silhouette 1 but has no profile stat's to go with it except for the weapon details (e.g., burst, damage, etc.) My opponent and I played it that the Crazykoala can be shot at outside its ZoC like a mine to nullify it and remove it from the table. Is this allowed? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
You deploy the Crazykoala in zone of control of the minelayer, only restriction that exists is the point chosen to be deployed be physically impossible to be accessed, for example you cannot place a Crazykoala inside the objective room as long as it has all its doors closed. Likewise Crazykoala simply reach the enemy that triggered them as long as they are not located in an impossible tor each location, for example inside a room were you and your opponent have agreed doors remain closed if not a short skill is spend to open them and close automatically after the model clears the door. You can shoot the Crazykoala outside their zone of control as you would shoot a mine to disable them, just like mines.
