bringing some of these new "Endsong" units to C1. I know it is probably NOT going to happen, but maybe one, two of them per faction would be cool. The Korean troops are killing me, lol. Also, Circular Impact template weapons. Rules are in the book, but no weapon has them.
True... I could... but I've been playing the full game since Icestorm came out. Was a Warcor here in Northern VA for about a year. Have ran and helped run 40+ player tourneys for Local and NoVA Open... I'm not a huge fan of the current state of full N4 but still love the concept of Infinity. Just enjoy it more in C1. Just my personal take. I play C1 as a standalone and d9nt have any real desire to play N4 anymore. So yeah, I could just go, back, to the full game... just dont want to. I know what i was asking for wasnt going to happen, but was throwing a flare into the darkness with a wee bit of hope...
Weird that they don't want to add C1 profiles to increase sell. Some people are playing with friends, family, children etc. I personally enjoy C1 as much as N4. C1 just needs guts roll and more profiles...
Agreed. C1 is still a viable thing to promote. CB seems to have just abandoned it cause it didn't do well at a time when NOTHING was doing well (2020 Pandemic period). Guts, Circular Templates and at least 2 new profiles for the game could help it out. Terrain packs with a little mini campaign that would help get new players into the lore also would be great. Just a lot of potential lost here, IMO...
I agree. I only play C1 usually small since I don’t have a lot of time and like the simplified rules.
Well, if you are playing Tohaa, I will assume you have been playing for a bit... C1 was designed for brand new players which is why it was limited to the factions it was limited to. Tohaa are built around Fireteam rules. FT's are not in C1 because CB wanted to make the barrier to entry easier for new players. I play TAK and Onyx... I too "can't" play in C1. So I got an army that did allow me to play in C1. I also proxy a lot of models for other models. You could maybe try that?
Have you tried the fanmade builder to play more stuff? https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threa...one-diversity-and-inclusion-initiative.37119/ Now considering that CB isn't adding the new C1 factions to this section, it's clear that developing this game mode isn't a priority for them.
I have looked at the fan made thing when it came out. Not a huge fan of fan made stuff but I will figure something out... And yes, I know it's no longer a thing for CB to worry about. I know I am speaking to the wind about this, haha. Just venting.
Well, I think I’m with Blakharg here. C1 could have a lot of legs for a simplified version of the game in a similar way that Battletech h has Alpha Strike to Armoured Combat. I started playing infinity the beta rules in 2006 and have seen the complexity grow with every version, people dropping off and new players jumping on. C1 is by no means a game for people who have never played a table top/wargame before. I’m coaxing one og gaming group who played Infinity 10 years ago back into C1 but ironically the Army app has Haq Ghulam as Total AVA but only troop option I’d Doctor!?
I can't figure out what the true purpose of C1 is. I've played Infinity N1 and N2, and when I came back for N4 I tried to start with C1 and said "well, as far as I know, this is just Infinity, just with fewer profiles." Of course it was my impression, maybe I was wrong, but I couldn't find the real big difference between both systems that would supposedly make C1 easier. My son is eleven years old. He has played Necromunda and Star Wars Legion with me. A few weeks ago he asked me to learn Infinity and I had that internal discussion with myself again. "Should I teach him C1 or go straight to N4?" And you know what? It took me a couple of hours to get him playing the basics of N4 without a problem. He may have difficulties with some of the difficult interactions and he doesn't know how to play guided missiles... But he can play a game without any problem, so... why C1? For me it's a game that does not make sense. It is not easier N4. It's N4 without letting you play N4. EDITED (because my comment had nothing to do with the original post) Yes, I absolutely believe (even if I don't play C1) that CB should add more profiles to C1.
