I always imagined he just jumped down a roof and tries to balance himself. I love dynamic poses like this much more than for example Yara's imo very boring standing pose.
Hmm. It just seems an odd pose to me, it looks like he’s leaning back and with the way he’s standing… he’d fall over. It could be as @psychoticstorm said, it’s the way the mini has been photographed and phoenix could be really nice in person. I’ll probably get him regardless, I do like having a complete set. As for that Mukhtar… totally agree, it’s a stunning mini, I love it. Some of the dynamic minis are excellent, look at the shaolin lot! I do like yara though, her stoic pose seems appropriate. Bumping this thread a little so others who haven’t will see the new stuff coming, also a shameless plug to ask about my boy Ajax, really looking forward to that release so any news is appreciated.
Amusingly I saw a lady outside the supermarket standing with her foot on a concrete barrier taller than Yara or Phoenix's. Truth is stranger than fiction I guess :P
Oh, of course people can and will place their feet on tall things. The issue I have with phoenix is that his weight distribution seems off. Phoenix looks like he’s leaning away and with the pose he’s in, well he’d fall over. If he’s jumped and landed in that pose then a lot of force is going onto his hip, not a comfortable position to be in. It’s just the way he looks, it’s an odd pose. Again it could be the photograph but at the moment he just looks awkward. Edit: not to impugn anyone’s enjoyment of the model, I just find it odd. I’ll still be picking one up along with the rest of the new stuff. Also the shaolin who have been absent from my yu jing for far too long.
I'm a little concerned about the 2pack with "big models". See the 8:00 minute mark. If one was actually Yu Jing, probably not, I'd be upset I'd have to get a "big model" I would probably not use along with it. Not everyone wants to go in on a set with you. I had that problem Kaldstrom. So I never got it.
Well, lucky (or not) for you, it most likely won't include anything for Yu Jing. The bet right now is on Squalo vs. Caskuda.
And for some reason the silhouette on the far right looks like Carlota Kowalsky. But I'm sure that's not who it is.
Usually either the last week of July or first week of August to line up with Gen Con, it's crept a week or two earlier in recent years, except for the big studio update which will be on the 5th of August.
Since Gen Con only four weeks away, I’d expect anything to come out at least two weeks from it. Time to get our proxy buyers!
Convention exclusives are generally available through your FLGS and direct from CB during the preorder period, consention just gets it you early, with the downside that sometimes Bostria drops half a sandwich in your carrier bag. If you get a (free) ticket for the seminar you can cash it in for a free mini at the end though. Last year was one of the Warcrow characters (I got Ludivine) before that was the Daedalus' Fall Brawler hacker, Uhahu, and 2017 (the year before I went for the first time) was the ITS ABH sniper!
