As I understand, I can move through allied troops without problems (is their silouette height is equal or smaller). An allied camouflaged piece of equipment (mines, specifically), allow me to move through them? What about allied pieces of equipment (repeaters)? Do they allow you to.move through them?
Camo marker still has a silhouette value (2 for camouflaged equipment as per Camouflaged state rules), so i'd say yes, you can move through them, as long as you are not prone or have silhouette less than 2.
You are actually not allowed to move into base to base contact with a camo marker. Can you move into base to base contact with your own troops? Do you move into base to base contact when moving through a model? Related Doctor requires you to be in base to base contact with an unconscious trooper to use it.
But mines do not comply with the definition of troop, nor does any other equipment. So, can I? If so, why? (rules reference included if possible).
Preface: I consider this so silly that I don't actually think it is intended that a friendly camouflage marker should block your movement. http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Camouflaged Troopers cannot enter base to base contact with a Camouflage Marker.
Curious. Why not, do you think? Friendly troopers block movement unless they are also activated (and moving), and there's no way to differentiate camo'd troopers from camo'd non-troopers until discovered, right?
Friendly troopers do not block movement if their silhouette value is equal or lower. http://infinitythewiki.com/en/General_Movement_Rules (blue box) ... Allied troopers, and only allied, whose Silhouette Attribute be equal or inferior to the trooper's Silhouette Attribute does not block his Movement.
But lets come back to most important part of the thread. Zeros goes to the corner and places a mine. Can he move a litte on the mine (in camo state) and back in order to shoot a guy?
Strictly speaking, the rules prevent this. On the other hand, you place the mine in base to base contact, so...
Actually, i just realised even if the mine is revealed, it would be illegal to move over it. You can move over friendly troopers whose silhouette is smaller than yours. A mine is not a trooper, so no rule (that I'm aware of) let's you walk over it.
At worst, it would just be an obstacle and the 'vaulting' rules would apply. But it's much more consistent to treat it as a friendly trooper due to it having a Silhouette Attribute.
While i agree that would be nice, it can't be an obstacle as that means a netrod (another equipment) provides partial cover, and a trooper is a well defined classification in this game, which mines and netrods are not.
To vault over it would make it a piece of scenery. Are you advocating that all models in the game gain scenery or just mines? What rule lets mines gain scenery item but not everything?
