I'm trying to write a Ramah list to handle Frostbyte for an upcoming tournament. It's definitely taking me out of my comfort zone and I could use some feedback and suggestions. The key part I'm struggling with is having enough HI/REM/TAGs to meaningfully contest the exclusion zone at the end of the game. Most of the models in Ramah that fill the roles usually done by HI are LI super-soldiers who freeze just as easily as a Ghulam.

My first list (https://infinitytheuniverse.com/arm...AAISBAZCoAACBLQEOAACEZQEEAACBPgEBAAIBADIBAQA=) focused on two Janissary links of three. I'm pretty happy with how the Janissary doc, Al Fasid HRL, and Tarik AP rifle link worked. I made Tarik the master breacher so he can hold the exclusion zone and, if needed, go rampage with four self-generated orders. I wasn't sold on the Janissary ML, Hortlak AP sniper, and Rouhani link. It was a bit awkward to balance where they wanted to be on the table. The model count is a bit low for my liking, but almost all the models in the list are either multi-wound or effectively multi-wound.

My second list (https://infinitytheuniverse.com/arm...BAQAAhjYBBQAAgT4BAQAAgT4BAQAAhiIBAwAAMgEBAA==) is a bit more traditional, running Maggie and a Ghulam core. It relies on Maggie and the Sunduqbut to hold the exclusion zone at the end of the game. My main concern with the list is that I have almost zero experience running Maggie. It also relies on using the Ghulam core to push some of the buttons, and moving a full core around the board isn't something I'm all that confident in doing yet.

Suggestions on the lists? How have you approached Frostbyte with Ramah?

Here are some previous forum thoughts on it: https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/frostbyte-is-back.40438/

I don't have a lot to add to it. I still play Frostbyte like Annihilation (here is a recent game https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/satellite-mini-report.42106/#post-453208). You can get a 7-point win even if your opponent controls the zone. And if you annihilate them effectively enough, you can still score the zone with just one snow ops, HI, TAG, or REM.

Running suboptimal units like Jans and Tarik doesn't feel like playing to RTF's strengths. If you do want to focus on dominating the midzone, Maggie or Sunduqbut both seem like reasonable options. Both together feels excessive and doesn't leave you enough points for a functional list. Shakush is also worth considering.

That's a really good point. I may be focusing too much on those 3 points.
