Dear Forum guys, A friend of me got an Anycubic photon 4k Of course, we want to build some terrain with it. Do you have any resources, advices, tips or links to feed this project ? I promise pictures once it's done ! Thanks a lot
I've seen a number of interesting stuff on Thingverse, for example. Primairly objectives, abut also some vehicle models - which do fine as terrain pieces. For things like buildings, I'm afraid 3d prinitng on a small resin printer is not going to be viable from economical point of view. However, make the bulk of the walls in some other way, and use 3-d printer to make details like doorframes, window shutters, electronics, furniture etc etc, and I guess Bob is your uncle ;)
Adding to that, there's various collections of "techie greeblies" out there, off the top of my head i remember the one by Miscast but i distinctly remember there's a few out there, not all for pay
Something I've wanted for a long time, and wish CB would do, is 3D silos. I have 1 for S2 and it's fantastic. I'd like a set of them.
You won't be able to print many buildings with a resin printer. Most will be too big, and expensive to print (>500g). Resin prints also have a relatively high failure rate due to the nature of the supports, so buildings are usually a bad investment. You can find a lot of great scatter terrain and accessories though. On Thingiverse just search Infinity and you will find nice amount of small scatter that you could print with resin printer.
