Ahahahaha. There's a huge distance between Brazil and Russia, unfortunately. But I'm planning on hitting interplanetario on 2024 if things go well.
How? Even with moiras dropping points, 4 mods and a RG will be still cheaper than 2 cenobites and 3 reverends
4 mods and one RG is 5 slots of your 15 that are going to sit back and do nothing. Bakunin only has 2 fireteam slots. Sometimes you might want to have stuff that can actually move forward and do stuff instead of just sitting back. thes 4 mooks with one model fireteams are good defensive turrets, but in an environment where they represent a third of your army they become more of a choice than just fire and forget. Not saying it's bad, just saying its a choice
So it looks like Bakunin lost nothing, we now know uberfall is still in, and lost nothing. MO lost a few models, not sure if Morats lost anything. I think some profiles but not whole troops. BTW not only are they getting a new TAG but you know they are going to get a new Lizard. maybe even rule changes for it. So "sort of" getting two TAGs.
Just came from Upher on the discord, so it seems that we have the miniatures retained for the morlok and modos (it would come from their video, but not seen by looking quickly) :
MAF didn't lose any troops. Only one profile, the Vanguard Hacker. And one link option: rodok core; On the other hand, the sheer amount of stuff added more than made up for those 'losses'. Honestly, bakunin was on the lower end for the Nomad sectorials, so this update is very much welcome.
MO only really lost the Magister Knights IIRC, which were very similar in original minis, role, and loadout to Teutons, and the new Teutons are really a blend of Magister and OG Teuton. KotHS got embiggened so you could argue they lost a mini there, but he was always a bit of an odd duck and the new profile is much more useful.
Yep, that's exactly the problem with a RG ML core. If you're taking anything in there other than cheerleaders, the ML isn't a very good match for your likely ranges when you want to close in. If you're taking Zoe and Pi-Well plus a Riot Tinbot in there like I often do, you may even want to ditch that ML entirely, leaving it in your DZ while you advance. That leaves her standing around in the back lanes still protecting a firelane... just not as well. I did that last week and it was a decent choice, but by no means overpowered. RG ML and two Moderators (one usually the Lt.) in a Haris can be a better turret for keeping in place... but the opportunity cost of -not- taking an awesome Haris like the Taskmaster + 2x Morlocks, or a small Riots haris, is pretty high. Now that there are great Observance Harises to be had too, that opportunity cost is probably too high. TLDR: The only place where cheapo Riot Grrl ML and Moderator turrets is a good investment is you're playing a skirmisher-focused list or a TAG list and links are just defensive. And in that case, the defensive turret is also unlikely to be positioned where the action is going down, protecting all your forward troops... more of a rear/flanks defender.
All this stuff might come later, but I have my doubts for the Moderators. Maybe they are realy down to haris/dou and the 5 in the table was the typo? The old SWC box was - an unfortunate design choice if someone ask me, but some new one would be bad. A spit-riot would be necessary when you want to run a aesthetical and functional fitting full core. Also a MR Moira is requiered - if not you are stuck with a given set of minis for your fireteam. I would think that she will also have a Lt. option. We will see ...
Demo Battle is up: It was very good and cinematic. I loved the true-to-life demonstration on why you should try to avoid moving a Core fireteam into the midfield...
Or at 7:35 why the Penitent gets cover when she is moving in full sight of the two Teuton knights into cover at the start of the order and then starts shooting with her second short skill... At 14:01 why is Wabara not using the template of her Shotgun, getting a sure hit and no cover for the Trinitarian. Wabara will be taken off the board anyway for being dogged already but there is a decent chance that the Trinitarian will get into a null state also. Many funny choices I would never have done in a game :)
Great batrep with the normal scatter of rules mistakes. My biggest takeaway was that Trinitarians are still bloody great :D
Morats lost a few other profiles that I know of: Rodok Light Shotgun (+1 Burst), Rodok Killer Hacker, and the Rodok HMG. The Zerat Multi Sniper was also removed. There may have been few other profiles changed up or dropped with these 2 units.
Two of these were sidegraded, Rodoks got Spitfire, while Zerats got MMR. Both old models work perfectly well as proxies for new profiles. The only loss was that Rodok with double LSGs, and I've actually found a way to make it work for me, using these LSGs as SMGs for various units who got them. (bottom line: yeah, it was a loss, but one easy to accomodate)
it's a game. You take a shot every time bostria mess up with a rule. It's like a tradition in the theme weeks
