A combo of Karhu Haris + Vargar Haris is very tasty. I used them at Salt Lake this year and got great mileage out of them. Karhu FB + Para + Gunnar and K1 MMR + HRL + WildParrot, on some vertical tables, very very nice. Against TJC the Albedo protected the Vargar from a Grenzer while I put down the Kriza, and the Karhu + Gunnar just went up-and-over a tower and shredded a Hollowman Haris. They’re a nice one/two punch. And the NCO on the Karhu means that Haris almost always has plenty of orders to work with.
The different mobility skills on the Vargar vs the ORC make it a tough sell for me, personally, but I know others have different experiences and preferences. Give it a whirl and see how it works for you.
Albedo is good against MSV who are single trooper or duo/haris(that haven't SS). Against ft core is pretty useless. Another problem with vargar is their movement, 4-4 is standard for MI but a trooper with SJ should move more. I have not tried Gunnar in karhu link, is he worth? Being slow than karhu i only use him with nisse. I'll try the double haris karhu and varg with core fusilier(ml+msr) and a boyg mk12. What blocked me to play this list are the aro, i don't know if is better play a defensive fusilier ft with some fugazi or put fugazi, warcor, beasthunter and spent elsewhere the spare point
My personal Fusi Core is usually Quinn + ML + FO + Paramedic and something else. Ofttimes that will be an alt.
I'll give him a try but honestly i am a little scaried to have not a msr. I imagine that Quinn and the FO aren't properly aro until someone don't come too close
Going Back to Gunnar, I used him a lot in my Winterforce lists. I like it the profile and I had success using him, as regular I put gunnar with a HMG Orc and a paramedic fusiler in haris for my second group. If no orders are taken for that small amount the haris still will have 6 orders (5 to do things and 1 to repositioning pourposes). However I'm one of those players who think that is a little overpriced. It is in nobodys land, not so cheap, not so resilent...
I agree with you, Gunnar is not bad but is a little overpriced. Should have NWI or at least shock immunity. I used him yesterday and was not bad but i forgot tactical awarnes XD
Gunnar with Karhu gets you five Orders from a Haris (3 Reg, Tac Aware, NCO) even if you don’t add anything else.
