As a PanO/Nomads/Aleph player I realy have to agree with @SpectralOwl on this term. I realy like the new releases for all my factions, but I seems, that Haqq and Yu Jing realy cut short in the last years. It "feels", like all the bigger releases for this facions felt not that impactful (maybe thats just personal bias).
I feel PanO is also on the short end as well. O-12 could use some releases to shore up the weapon loadouts that faction does not have.
Agreed. O-12 being the new faction makes sense on having alot of minis releases. PanO's count surprised me.
I don't really understand the claim that Haqq is being neglected. We just got an operations box and a beyond box and will soon be getting Shakush and Yara. The sculpts in the above are almost universally terrible, but that's not a release schedule issue. Anyway, despite the supposed neglect of my only faction, and despite not buying that awful operations box, CB still manages to take a steady stream on my money, no problem. Nazarovs not getting a rework? Guess I'm buying Carmen. And Penthesilea. And another Carmen, to put Penny on Carmen's bike. Now I have new Nazarovs and I just paid for three bikes, three riders, and two antipodes. Yeah, terrible business model CB, how can you possibly sell me your products if you won't issue more Haqq sculpts?
Did they maybe mean that when they're developing an army for C1, they actually start work on two sectorials and only decide on one to focus on later in the process? Because that explains the release pattern of a sectorial rework coming 1-2 years after the C1 release (MO, Morats, now Bakunin) If the designs are half done, it's easy to polish up for a release. I would definitely expect a Haq release for the adepticon slot next year, either QK or Gabbar. (Ariadna is the second most likely, but I think their second sectorial option was the scots, who just ended up folded into Kosmo)
I'm not complaining it's Nomads. I just think it should be at least Haqqislam, Yu Jing, and NA2 getting the updates. Corregidor just got their moment and now Bakunin? While other factions have had very little for a long time. I was jus stating facts. Nomads are going to get a lot of figures this year and are already the top. But I'm sorry, I was off by 2. Morans were December. FB under the revolving wildcats/evader entry. "@CB, why is Bakunin getting a refresh when you just had Corregidor get get it? There's many others that need it just as much if not more" "Infinity the universe Tzu Lao We are completing the Nomads line for CodeOne, every year we have been following this same scheme with 2 factions. We'll arrive at the one you are looking for at some point for sure "
The problem is the list slot cost combined with the order loss. Not only does the AD trooper’s order sit out of your pool, you then lose even an Irregular dedicated order for that troop. You -have- to spend other orders from your Regular pool on them, to a greater proportion than a Regular trooper. This puts you down a LOT in restricted 15-trooper lists, and you still have the negatives of Impetuous (no cover) with zero benefit. It’s a serious double whammy, making Yuan Yuans or other AD/Irregulars effectively cost you more orders than any other Irregular troop, and have a worse cost/benefit than any other Impetuous troop. Durok being overoptimized is not a good measure to apply other, basic units which functioned well under all other previous editions. It is deeply unfortunate to see such an iconic unit as Yuan Yuans be out of the game. There is a reason no one plays them anymore. They do need a fix, which could either come from basic rules changes (either allowing Irregular Orders to be generated off-board, or even making Impetuous optional on drop troops), or by changing their profile.
Glad to see House Goliath finally getting an Infinity release! Those Lobos are amazing tho. I was unconvinced by the profiles, but am buying the minis 110% for sure.
Yes Lobos are phenomenal, very unique compared to other nomads. Gonna get them for sure despite having weak profiles.
The Lobos are way cooler than anything that GW does, even Arbites. These would also be cool proxies for some O-12 stuff (space cops are all kinda the same, right?). Also looking at the Golia... er, Diablos, also noticing now the cool textures in the harem pants (and that they nailed the fact that hardcore muscleheads are often weirdly dedicated to harem pants). These are going to be a lot of fun to paint.
Wow... Interesting to see how you like the Lobos. I don't find them to interesting. And they're definitely out of Nomads' easthetics. I rather prefer the Diablos - I think they're great for Diggers and maybe I'll buy the box just for them. PozdRawiam / Greetings
I'm a sucker for a really good pose with plenty of expression. That's why I got into Infinity in the first place (that old crouching Ninja hacker in the diskobolos pose got me hooked). The challenge pose with the shock maul and the raised shield with grimace here are great. You're right they don't match some of the Nomads well (like Jaguars), but they're actually pretty close to EVAders. Good armor sculpting is the link I think (another thing I really go for, personally). Oooh hadn't thought of that. Yeah I'll never field both of these guys, might paint one as a Digger for another army even.
The quote looks like they're just saying they always do another Sectorial, but doesn't really specify that they link it to the C1 release at the time. Morat would have been the N4 release tied to Shasvaasti, linked (CA) but different. Bakunin linked to Nomad/Corregidor, Military Orders linked to PanO/WinterFor. I guess Starmada for O12, though they only have the one so it's different. I'd hope for a Yu Jing redo, but maybe Ariadna is before them. Doubt ALEPH will get much soon, but Haqq is a possibility. Either way, this year they picked Bakunin, could be as easy as they had the ugliest sculpts. :)
My Problem with the lobos is that the sculpt doesn't reflect the rules or vice versa. What is that huge shield doing on a MI with MI stats and not that much of armor or any immunities? i understand that the lobos are supposed to be riot police who herd the criminals, but i can't like the design. If they Do herd the criminals a minimum of one lobos should be required to field a diablo/jaguar link just like King shi. That would translate that the Lobos are the ones in charge. In addition i am no Fan of the helmets the closed featurless helmets of brigadas, zeros, spektrs and the like would be a lot cooler in my opinion. But even then the shield is just weird. But thats just my opinion an i don't play corregidor. I am happy for everyone who likes the lobos Design and is exited for the Box.
I am afraid, thats exactly what will happen to me aswell *sad wallet noices* Unique indeed, but... I see what you think here. I "feel" the unit as an corregidor riot-stopper-police, a little bit like Alguacils, but better armored with riot shields and more "arguments" in the close quarter diplomatics. I think I like them (i always fancy them more and more the longer i look at them) and they are an eye-catcher in a more and more streamlined looking sectorial (i.e. Morans). I still not sure what to do with them rules-wise, but i will make them work on the field. Diablos` are amazing. Big, chunky, intimidating. Shaved armpits itch to make them even more angry and dangerous. They will defenetly find their way into my collection
