Well, after been playing druze for a long time I started to looking for a new faction, but after some months playing PanO I decided to change. I wish to play something more subtle, more tricky with more variety in troops and tactics. I don't like EC so shasvastii were not an option, so I think of haqqis. I found a nice bargain on the internet for a decent painted pack of minis so I gave this guys an oportunity. After some chaotic first games I were pretty happy with them. New ways of approaching enemies, lot of hidden aces, great specialists and a great range of miniatures, so I bought some more miniatures and the new boxes of Hassasin. Next step was to find a colour scheme for them, I like the official one, but I wanted to try something more futuristic, something more sophisticated. And when I thought about sci-fi medics shooting around, this guys went to me: And this pair of naffatûn were my first try with the scheme (they become martyrs): I made the same bases as for my druzes so I can use them if I play Qapu Khalqi, and to use that minis as proxies if necessary. I will keep posting the rest of my miniatures as I photograph them so keep tunned!
Well, time for a small update. My very first miniature for this project was Saladin, so after that little test I was prepared to start with him. But surprise!, I win another one in a tournament, so I get prepared to paint both at the same time and to hide a Hafza in my games. It was a great experience to paint the same miniature at the same time, trying to do the same steps, but realising how difficult it was to obtain the same result.
Next step: paint some basic troops. I had to try this scheme on some ghulams, so I painted a ghulam and the O-12 medicSince I didn't have the ghulam medic I was using this miniature as a proxy. I really like how this two ladies came out.
