    Hey guys :)

Just wondering what is the latest state of rumours. We are in the middle of the corregidor revamp and even received new Morans (who would've thought?). Bakunin received some toys last year but we still have several dated sculpts, including the Uberfallkommando and the Lizard. I've played Infinity for 6+ years but still waiting for new sculpts for those as they are too dated and hope they will receive the Morlock treatment,

Any updates for Bakunin? Any chance for an out-of-the-blue update?

I wouldn't count on any big update happening out of the blue, there might be some unexpected single resculpt happening at some point.

Bukunin will eventually find its way into one of the Operation starters. There are at least six sectorials which await proper refresh:
    • Acontecimento
    • Imperial Service
    • Caledonia
    • Merovingia
    • Qapu Khalqi
    • Bakunin
There's also a possibility of some other sectorials, like Neoterra or USAriadna making the cut, Tohaa getting some love, or a new sectorial showing up (please don't, CB, as much as I'd love to see an EI sectorial fixing issues with already existing armies should be a priority).

So, I'd say there's around 1/3-1/4 chance of Bakunin getting a proper rework in the next two years or so.

You should check your auto-correct ... or you mean at least six sexy sectorials :smirk:

If CB will continue with the 2player boxes (and why not, it seems like they are successful) then Bakunin is a good candidate for a part of that. On the other hand Bak could be a candidate for the spring-time armybox.

    Possible combinations could be:

Nom vs YuJing (ISS), Haq (QK), CA (Onyx), O-12 (new) or Aleph (new?) because Pan O and Ariadna were already paired with Nomads

Currently we have too many of Ariadna and Pan O retired sectorials. So this is a long term process here.
Aleph and O-12 on the other hand only have two or a single sectorials to bring in, so maybe they are out of the circel for a while.

Speaking of new sectorials I may only guess that O-12 is the prime candidate to get on par with the others.

My wish is ISS gets army box in spring and Bak a revival as part of a 2Player box in autum :sunglasses:

Seems I finally trained my autocorrect properly :sunglasses:

O12 was a mistake :P I'd very much prefer it being a solid NA2 sectorial.

Bakunin and ISS both seem like excellent options for an MO/Morat style Action Pack, rules revamp, and follow up releases.

I could not see Bakunin in a two-player starter. They would not have them too soon after Corregidor, and they need an update long before Nomads would appear in another of them. I think a MO/Morat style update makes more sense, perhaps 2024 (because, again, I cannot see them doing it in 2023 while also updating Corregidor --- too much Nomads).

So you're saying that O12 needs a pair?

Just played Bakunin against O12 today. Bakunin does okay for a kinda creaky older sectorial. That Taskmaster/Morlocks Haris has a lot of potential, but I’m still figuring out how to use it correctly. Pi-Well and Zoe in a link with Riots continue to be incredibly useful.

Bakunin could use a shine-up, but MRRF and USAriadna could use attention first. A rules patch even would be nice, but it’s understandable that this has to follow models releases to pay for the investment.

Space-Burning-Man isn’t in a terrible place for models or rules. Maybe third or fourth in line for a re-do.

No way. All these latest 2-player boxes were made for CodeOne and CB already have their favorite Nomad posterboys, no place for Bakunin there.

    Par then ...

Good point. All the sets since 0-12/Shas were made for C1 to be filled with factions. But they are also starters for N4 sectorials. The double served purpose stopped after the beyond box or with the booster packs (which were often repacks and leaved the trail of the sectorial. All other contend are useful for both worlds.

So we will see, if the concept will expand C1 or brings new N4 battle boxes or both. Either way I still see Bakunin as a good candidate, the Moderators could use a redesing (old box with two pair of base models and to be honest - not so beautiful imho).

I have a suspicion that resculpts happen more when the production molds are knackered and need replacing than due to any other reason (outside of a major relaunch and update of course)

You guys are quite optimistic about MRF and QK. I was under (possibly mistaken?) impression that both are basically squatted and only possible fan backlash is stopping CB from going all the way and removing them.

    We shall see.
Though given Nomads were the 2021 box, I wouldn't expect them to show up in the 2023 one (same as Aleph, or Haqq, or Ariadna). And I defintiely expect a two-player box in 2023: these were said to be a huge success since the beginnig (Op: Icestorm in 2014, PanO vs Nomads. Pre-C1).

An Adepticon battlebox in March, that's not a bad idea.
Though I find CB's tendency to stop releasing a sectorial without releasing all it needs to be infuriating.

Agreed. Even though I want the huge surprise in 2023 to be MO/Morats style renewal of Bakunin, it is non grata since it might be seen as too much favoritism toward Nomads.

So I'd rather ask for a new Lizard sculpt in 2023, and then the renewal of the whole Jurisdictional Command in 2024.

Tbh I'd rather they spent some time doing a full balance pass. There are several factions that need some love from a rules/profile POV and I'd deem that more important for the health of the game. I like the old lizard, it's the best of the OG sculpts where the gun fires through the arm. The tags with big hand held guns seems weird from my PoV

I've compiled release dates for Operations and 300 pts army boxes. There are some other sectorials that have a sectorial starter box, but these are the old style 6-minis packs.

    upload_2022-12-7_15-18-18.png

PanO gets lots of attention right now, and even though there are three older sectorials awaiting a new style starter I wouldn't expect it to be next year.

YJ is much more likely candidate, especially ISS.

Ariadna will probably see a few more releases for Kosmoflot before getting a new sectorial rework, but I suspect Caledonia to be in the works.

Haqqislam is getting Hassassin stuff now, but they don't have too many gaps, and QK is an obvious follower.

Nomads indeed have some more CJC stuff to get released, but not that much. And both remaining sectorials are good candidates of an army box repack.

Combined Army is well covered for the moment, and Morats will fill their upcoming release slots anyway.

Aleph - as obove, with SP getting attention now.

O-12 has both vanilla and Starmada in new style boxes.

Tohaa getting a rework and comeback would be completely out of left field.

Based on the above, I'd guess and next year sectorial to be Imperial Service vs Caledonia, and the following one having QK vs either Acontecimento or Neoterra. There's an army box sure to happen sometime along the way, and this is where I'd expect more Nomads. My guess would be Bakunin getting one in the first half of 2024. There is a spot for another army box in the first half of 2023, with IA or Onyx being possible candidates. This is of course me assuming that CB won't drop something completely unexpected on us :)

I've a suspicion that the Adepticon Action Pack might be USARF this year, the Army Box went out of stock a while ago and is now officially OOP, but the rest of the range is still present (minus the Desperados that went OOP a while and a half ago and the Shotgun Doggo nobody bought)

Yeah, I had been leaning Bakunin or ISS, but the USARF Box going OOP with the MO box, but not coming back at the same time, means it might be replaced with an adepticon box now. I do know that USARF players have complained that they're still suffering from the N3-N4 transition, especially the 15 unit cap, so a redo of the list to bring up abilities/costs or provide more high point units is definitely welcome by them.

I am currently painting up Bakunin so that makes a new release 10,371% more likely (and I would not be mad at all, especially if space nuns get some rules tweaks out of it).

Could get started on ISS soon if we really want to summon the Re-release Demons.
