Hello, I understand that when a CC guy is moving into base to base, his target can react and shoot since you can target him at any point during his movement. So if the target declares shoot and the CC guy declares CC, are they face to face rolls? Just double checking after a local discussion.
Also take into account negatives and bonuses for Martial Arts, Mimetisim, etc. For example, shooting a Myrmidon will be -9. -6 Mimetisim, -3 Martial Arts. The -6 for Mimetisim is ignored if using CC instead so it might be better to use that in some occasions. Does anyone know if Nanoshield would still count as cover if moving into CC?
Nanoscreen is always in effect, though it doesn't work against CC Attacks. Even if the bearer is engaged in CC, Nanoscreen would still work against someone else shooting into the combat.
But what if the ARO is to shoot as the active player is moving into CC? I would agree if it's decided to use CC but I think if it's decided to shoot, the nanoscreen should protect them. After that first order you are obliged to use CC or Dodge no matter what.
Like I said, a Nanoscreen is always in effect against BS Attacks, going into or out of combat has no relevance here. If you're shooting at a target with Nanoscreen they get the benefits of partial cover.
