Had a talk with some of my friends. We have not played in a couble of years.

One of them wanted to get back into the game, but do not like metal miniatures. Are there some plastic aleph miatures now? Or are we still waiting

As for now, there is no intent to bring infanterie sized modells in plastic or resin. The only modells in siocast are Drones and big modells like TAGs and Bears

So far, only the Marut and Probots are siocast. CB have said that silhouette 2 models will stay in metal, but larger models will begin to be produced in plastic as they are created (so far, they won't be retroactively made into plastic).

They are starting to go retroactively. Haqq and Aleph REM repacs for Code1 are Siocast and the Last Chance Infinity versions are metal (according to descriptions in the store).

That'd be interesting. Can you provide the source of that information?

Hmm, somehow I missed that - last time I heard, they were to be simply repacked metal models.

So either CB changed their mind, or they made a mistake copying the description form the siocast-made REMs of another faction.
Either way, we'll see soon enough.

That's pretty much my experience with the Zeta and the Warcrow promo minis, cleanup is a little more fiddly and needs different skills/tools but I'll get more proficient at it in time. Assembly is so much easier though, especially large minis like TAGs. There's a noticeable improvement in quality between the Vostok and later minis too.

I'd also say that many skills from working with hard plastics can come in useful, although it's not the same analogue and thus you still need to be careful. But I definitively have no complaints about them switching to Siocast.
