I've seen many games in my life that have had expansions added to them after release, but never a game that had an expansion for it even before it was out. What's with that?
Nail in the coffin for me. Do they are really expect us to spend $200 and wait two years while they are showing off what looks to be completely done sets and sending them off YouTubers? I've heard nothing but bad things from friends that did Kickstarter. Too bad because I thought this would be the one I actually try.

The set I received was reasonably complete, but they probably have a bit more work to do on their app etc. Two years though... they'll be on Kickstarter #16 by then lol.
No offense to yall, but how is 15 months 2 years? They estimate the product will be complete and be shipping out February 2024, the campaign ends november 1st 2022. Not even a year and a half, plus chinese factories will close for New Years which is i think at least a month straight or more afaik. I think its reasonable, perhaps even quick turn around time for a Kickstarter.
Also, did they send complete sets (34 minis) or demo aets with demo mision and 12-15 minis ? If I remember minis from test sets was siocast so production in China stil not begin...
For myself, it's not so much the timeframe itself, but that I had in mind that the Dungeon Crawler would make a good intro to the Skirmish game. The Skirmish game comes in August, so 6 months before the dungeon, so that's sort of pointless in that regard. I'm also curious what of the models in the dungeon crawler will be useful in the skirmish, or rather what factions they will go. If I can do a Nuada/redcap army, it's all worth it. :) But, if the fleshcrafter guys are a faction, then we'll end up with a ton of them and then a couple heroes for the other factions, which is meh.

It could be me, but that's the third time in a row when I was extremely hyped for a CB board game, but lost interest after learning more about the rules and/or playing a demo. While I like pretty minis, my main expectation from a dungeon crawler is to be a great game. Games like Gloomhaven raised the bar for clever combat resolution and interesting decisions that don't boil down to target prioritization. Warcrow Adventures doesn't seem to have anything like that, it feels painfully generic with "roll hits vs shields" combat and the most unimaginative skill and equipment effects possible - add a die, add a hit, add a shield, re-roll. Been there, done that. Well, I still am hyped for the skirmish game, hope it's more innovative.
Now that I've heard that it will take a year and a half to two years before it's available, I'm even less interested. I'm also not even thinking about the skirmish since it's supposed to come out after the board game. Within that time other games can come out. I've already put money into MCP so it's going to be hard for me to do a third game.
This is not true. Wargame is planned for the next year. We probably won't see every faction at the start. Scions of Yaldabaoth won't have their models released before KS backers will have their Warcrow Adventures home.
More accurately, there might be Yabbadabbadooth models before Adventures releases, but they won't be the exact same sculpts as the ones in the KS, like with Defiance. We do know that there's the Merchant Alliance faction, home of the scaredy sorcerer and Assassin, that won't be a full fledged faction on launch and these characters will be mercenaries of some form.

If elves growing plants out of their bodies gonna be a faction instead of one character I might get interested.
To show they could make the game in Defiance / Infinity metal miniature quality... But they won't. Yet another incomprehensible decision.
To me it feels like the campaign is failing to the point that they need to resort to the ultimate hype factor to try to get some more leverage. Daily unlocks felt like a good damage control but proposing the full base roster (minus the foes) in metal (metal! not sio) is like "ok. enough with garbage mini, we get back to our root is that what you wish for". Problem: - as a paid add-on, it's still depending on the price for people to be into it - we don't have yet any confirmation if a core pledge is necessary to possibly get any addons in pledge manager - by pushing directly to metal instead of siocast, people will now just wait for the possibility of an "all-in" in metal, and same goes regarding the wargame. by broking their own design limits for the Kickstarter campaign, they broke their entire business model regading Warcrow and people will now have expectations they previously didn't.
