I think they hit the nail on the head with these, look great and refreshing. They remind me of gremlins.
On the Crucible artwork (which is naked), he looks like he has an erect armored penis, I guess to add fear in the dungeon. Spoiler: +18
While not as exciting as borderline incompetent volcano goblins, there are also two new heroes, a Beastmaster with spear thrower and Beast, and a tinkerer with Jackbots.
Wow! Such a design shift for Scions. Perhaps the early signs of sectoral equivalents? Either way, my initial impressions, 1. Is the new girl an orc or half orc? 2. Love pet rules and love the hint of more automata to be seen. 3. The new enemies are fantastic, unique, fun, and quite different to the flesh beasts of other yaldaboth units. 4. Nuada imho is the best designed character so far for me. It just ticks so many of my preferred fantasy boxes with the armor and weapon designs. I cant wait to see whats next. My guess is another character from each faction, we have 2 mounthaven and 2 northern tribes now. So we need another sayenn, hegemony, and fuedom. (Fingers crossed for a badass knight)
I'm not sure that the Red Caps and the Yabbadabbadooth will even be the same faction, the Red Caps are for the expansion campaign so aren't necessarily linked to the Core. I do like that Nuada's concept art has an expression that implies that he deeply regrets surrounding himself with a bunch of tiny idiots. There's some real Gru vibes from that one. The new heroes are pretty cool, I'm digging Iriavik's design especially. Don't we anyway have a badass dwarf Knight in the Core though?
She is a Varank. I think they are their own distinct species rather than a hybrid, but they are allied with the Orcs. Also the dossier shows the Dwarf dude as being part of the Hegemony.
It's looking better and better. I just wish the heroes were a little more exciting. They are not bad though. Not at all. The new dwarf looks amazing. I like the constructs too.

They showed us new hero. This is another hero for the core box and she will be unlocked as a stretch goal She wil be kickstarter exclusive and I really like her.
Finally someone who makes me more interested in Hegemony. I feel like my interests in what will be my second faction in the wargame keeps pinballing around with each new character. Hegemony was low on my list but this new character really scratches my preferred fantasy design itch well. What a wonderful problem to have.
