Today I played Lei Gong for the first time. It seems to me that the 3 movement points of the alternate side are meaningless, as I can gain movement points from the main side, transform, use Closed Barrage and then move 5 spaces.

I would like someone to confirm this as I am worried to be doing something wrong! It feels weird to have a movement decrease on the alternate side if it can be entirelly avoided. Also, turning to the alternate side every turn does not seem to have any downsides.

This would be less effective unless you want to avoid a disengage roll, since you can gain 2x 5 movement on the initial profile.

The idea behind Lei Gong is to use Mirrors of Lei Gong to get into position inside of smoke and then flip and shoot with Closed Barrage, an extra orange dice and within smoke so most Aristos can't hurt you.

Being on the blue side until the rest activation can have a downside: Oberon can slence your God of Lightning and you have to stay on the blue side and with less movement available.
