The orc is phenomenal, by far the best mini so far. I like his outfit, he's a bit more "sophisticated", not just leather and bones. Great pose as well, very cool!
I have to say, the energy>actions card looks complicated at first but was really simple and easy to use in practice. I really like the Initiative wheel as well, super simple, tactile, but allows for interesting gameplay and choices.
There was this video about a free miniature of warcrow. The Marked miniature for Corvus Belli Warcrow painting all the base colors.
New article on the warcrow blog with a recap of the pictures of the painted miniatures and with a picture of the orc in closer view. Warcrow Adventure miniatures https://warcrow.com/blog/miniatures-dungeon-crawler

HOT DAMN! Thats that shit i was hoping for! I was kinda reluctant on warcrow cause while the fantasy background is sorta unique and interesting, the character designs so far havent been super impressive to me, or even worrysome in cases related to "light skinned elf with clear dreadlocks" and "stereotypical ork design but wait hes savage but sophisticated and takes cultural inpiration from native peoples". But i have been craving for a CB designed evil faction to latch onto that isnt like the Combined Army where its complicated but rather something like chaos from warhammer and Scions of Yaldabaoth is so cool, interesting, gruesome, and original compared to other fantasy games. I just hope that warcrow the wargame faction units for the others look half as good as these and im SOLD!
I agree. While the hero sculpts are good, they are a bit too generic for me. These images we are seeing now are much more unique! I hope we will see more "non-standard" fantasy. It was one of the reasons I loved Confrontation. The Dirz with their cloning was so different at the time. The evil demon possessed dwarves. Insect inspired elves. All cool and different from the standard. So now I'm having a little more hope. I hope they break away from standard. If I wanted to play stereotypes I'd play already existing games.
Very nice "Evil Faction Minis"; I assume those are "Mutated By The Evil Fogs!". . . They remind Me a little of the "Drune Cursed Sessair" subfaction of the Keltois Nation, along with some Undead Puppets (both "Big Empire Of Pseudo-Mordor kept away by a Wall" and the "Demon-Possessed Dwarfs of Mid-Nor") from Confrontation, but obviously CB Artists put their own original twist on those "Army Of Darkness". . . Also is FAR MORE worrysome if some of those are NOT "Frankenstein Undead Marionettes" but STILL LIVING mutated innocent persons that retain some modicum of old self-awareness. . . Also would be incredibly original on CB part if they are not the usual "We Are Serving Evil Black Clad Wizard! Durh-hur-hur-hur!! EEEEEEEVVVVIIIIILLLLllllll for Evil's Sake. . .!!" but their body-horror have some Cosmological Cause (such as, in Irish Legends, is hinted that the Fomorians, grotesque "Sea Demons" arrived on the "Fair Land Of Cuchulainn" only because the Kings Of Fianna has lost the old ways and became Corrupt, Decadent and Complacent. . .!!)
Watch out everyone going for the evil faction when the wargame will release, with no love for the regular other factions... x)
I totally agree that the "baddies" looks really best and the playable characters are rather bland. Hope to see that originality also in characters and future factions.
Yes so far they have the most interesting look and story. I personally find the heroes to be very bland and stereotypical. I hope that they do a faction that is less European. I'm a sucker for anything Asian influenced.
Honestly why i think they need to constantly trickle concepts to us. If Feudom is knights that look like the ones from "For Honor" ill be sold on them too. But theres so much we dont know about the wargame yet. Ive got some ideas of how the factions could play and some gameplay mechanic ideas i think are pretty unique but idk what they will really have in store for us.
I have watched the demo game (the one in Spanish) and it looks to me that there is no real consequence from dying. You get revived with one less health and all the states disappear. Can anyone confirm it? I hope that is not the case.
