Okay I did not read that. Intersting. But still it looks wrong. The Hoplite´s look tells me ARM 5 even if compared with Thorakitai or for example Brigadas (which not look ARM 5). Yes, beefy look, shileld etc. make up for TI on ARM 3, but I think its the wrong why here. And despite the fluff text, the armour look all but not lightwight and flexible - scifi fluff can not talk that away.

But I think this non-char-HI is needed in the SP because now, you have the option to brute force your way out of DZ with a durable long range piece.

An Asura has little armor too and it's ARM5. Remember these are not humans.

Can’t the durability of the armor be used to explain why those troops have two wounds?

Indeed, power armour can generally do five things, though not usually all five on the same trooper:
    1) Increase ARM
    2) Increase PH
    3) Increase Wounds/NWI
    4) Increase Speed
    5) Increase BS

Ah! Yes, agree. And to give a 13 DAM weapon to a 50 pts unit is anyway a strange idea.

This is the other way around. I see no prop here. Advance materials, top of the art high tech, so expansive that only the elite of the elite will be outfitted with this. But ... Heavy Armor look should just be that: Heavy Armor.
Achilles V2.0 wears Hoplite Armour and has a whooping ARM 6. I don´t like heavy plating with shield and all that to explain TI. And when you look at the wolves from Ariadna, you see TI on ARM 4 with some loose plating, clothes and fur. Yes here the ARM 4 stands for the toughness of the wulf, sure.

    no :smirk:

I think Redfury is a perfect gun for the profile. The profile itself is excellent and it really synergizes well with HB's gameplan.

The issue is that it's 57 points, mostly because you're paying premium for one of the most expensive skill in the game and you can't even use it (Tactical Awareness).

At that point cost, you're giving away a lot and you absolutely need it to overperform if you don't want to just lose the game.

An armoured mini always should have more arm and maybe W2 to transport the look and feel.
And they are 2W models without powerarmor already, Wulver for example.

Look @colbrook ´s post. Power armour can stand for many things, but I think if it shows "high arm" ist should bring "high arm". Zuyongs are a good example. Basicaly they are Zhanshis in power armour, they gain ARM, W, PH, Speed and more BS and they look like they do this also.

With the Hoplite we can add point 6) TI (or some special rule, that gives a form of durability).

up until this point hoplite has given the 3 units (achilliles, heactor and proxy mk5) that wear it between 5-6 arm, i wonder if they going to have the same "adjustments" too

sorry, but i can realy not see how to mistake Djanbazan to be muyibs or vice versia. Its like "Damn, they look so equal: two arms, two feet, covered in some kind of cloth with an helmet and a gun." Maybe it would help to play an army where not everything has the colour of sand and dirt.
i realy like the concept design of the muyibs. but the only way I touch them is with bullets out of nomad´s guns.

but isnt that smth to give a clear intention what the purpose of a unit is? also its a B4 weapon on a fast MSV1 unit. That sounds to me like midfield control vs. all this infiltrating units who have mostly the ripping hard ARM-value of wet toilettpaper. The i dont see a huge difference there to a spitfire with 1dmg more other than beeing more expensive.
And everything else stronger (AP or multi ammo) would lead to a "one for everything" unit and that automaticly would trigger a cry of pain how immensly out of balance the unit is.

i am not a fan of the red fury, imho one of the worst weapons in the game (because i dont like it, not objectivly speaking), but it gives the unit a clear target

The claim wasn't that these two could be mistaken for each other, just that they share a design philosophy; massive torso padding, high collar, heavy helmet, chest rig-style pouches. Both give the impression of a light infantry (in the current military meaning of the word) unit, loaded for bear and prepared to operate in the thick of it.

This. DAM isn't the only or even the most important weapon stat, just like high point value does not mean that unit should definitely sport a heavier weapon. Other factors matter.

Will have it in the Army update, don't worry.

BTW, there will be obviously a seminar by Bostria this weekend in GenCon:

And, as you can expect, a pre-recorded seminar on our Youtube channel after the live presentation :)

I haven't seen anyone asking this but is there going to be any changes to other armies or is it strictly just Steel Phalanx and Hassasins?

Some minor changes here and there. The big things are for, obviously, Hassassin & Steel Phalanx.
