I'm a bit nonplussed by the total lack of prep or buildup for this campaign! I'd expected a bit of lead time to look at the map, read the background, prepare with other players, etc. But it seems like it will launch the very day the campain starts. Still really looking forward to taking part for the 14 days!

This is my first campaign. If I understood correctly, I have to submit battlereports to the warconsole to take part in this, right? And even if the factions do not match the campaign story (CA versus all others), it would count? Like if I play with my RTF against my brother‘s Bakunin, we would come up with a short story why both of these factions are fighting against each other in this campaign?
Exactly! You'll probably find on the warconsole forum that your faction has objectives for which location they prefer you to submit your report, but thats a suggestion not a rule. You could fight your battle at any location against any other faction and it would be valid to submit.
How can NA2 armies participate? Since NA2 don't have theire own faction in the campaign, do NA2 Players just decide wich faction they want to join / support?
I guess that's exactly what mercenaries do... Coming to think of it.. this would mean that at last I can live out my evil mercenary faction headcannon collaborating with CA...?!
Throwing all NA2 armies together doesn't really make sense if you come to think of it, as all of them except JSA are mercenaries.Instead, working for any of the bigger factions makes total sense to me. As a long time Qapu Khalqi and now Druze player I will be joining the Haqq forces. We will see how it works out.

I'm in the same boat, but the other way around. Having had DBS and now QK I am on the Haqq side of this one.
Since CA don't have a location as of yet, they can only attack others and everyone else defend? I'm sure we can attack them at other locations of course, but who does the game count for? ie Yu Jing vs. CA at Camelard?
It will count for the one who wins of course! :D (and CA is use to be on all-attack mode every Phase 1).
They used up all their hype and prep on Defiance. We will never see its like again. But at least there will be warconsole with an unlimited amount of people telling other people how to hobby ;)
