I, and many others like me, have bought the ''outrage characters pack'' time ago. This box contains six miniature, but only Emily Handelman and Uhahu have a profile on the Infinity Army. We can't play the models of Jethro, Nakadai Shunya, Beba Rodriguez and Domovoi in official matches / tournaments, at most we can use them as a proxy. Please Corvus Belli add the profile of this 4 models on the Infinity Army with their current points cost so we can finally play them correctly.
I understand your frustration, but the problem with these characters is that they're dead. They all die in the Outrage comic book. Which admittedly makes it kinda pointless to release minis for them, but is the reason I think why they never got profiles.
spoiler alert ! just kidding. on topic though, there is a outrage mission set that uses them. N3 is not too long ago and could probably be fitted to N4 mission set. But you can't play them outside casual missions. I agree with burlesford, there will be no N4 profile. Just like that TAG pilot that died died they even added it as a FAQ answer that no he's never coming back.
Yes they are dead and considering that the Army app does not represent the past, will not be possible... For me there are too many profiles in this game (just look at the miniatures identification sheets, it's absurd, the worst is in generalist format, this is one of the reasons why the biggest french youtubers don't want to touch Infinity), I'm not hyped for more profiles, and prefer to play them as a proxy to a tag pilot, a dog warrior and an obinawan. The idea of the narrative mission set seems excellente to me, CB should reup their mission set under the C1/N4 label. As CB has de-indexed the link from site, here is the link to the old N3 pdf, waiting a update: https://assets.infinitythegame.net/...issions/en/v1.0/infinity_outrage_missions.pdf
Yeah, we really don't need more characters in the game. About using what you have - I use Jethro with Knauf's profile in my Haqq, he fits there well with his Druze uniform. PozdRawiam / Greetings
Yes, the permanent death of Toni Macayana was a shock, especially for those of us who had the miniature of her TAG, Eduardo. Throughout the history of Infinity there have been characters who have been dying or simply disappearing. Some even with their own names have never had a profile (does anyone remember Max Scorpio?)
It was a name for the bounty hunter in limited edition. Max is still alive and kicking in the background, mostly with Miranda.
I think getting profiles for a product they no longer make is unlikely. IIRC didn't the Eduardo mini come out in the same Event pack that killed Toni off? So not much of a shock, especially as she didn't get an N3 profile.
This is one of the reason why the proxy rule is so generous, take your favourite models and run them as your favourite profiles.
Yes both times. Yes, the miniature came out in the Tournamnet Pack of Session 8, and yes, it did have an independent profile of the Tickbalangs at least during the entire ITS session (in the ARMY they appeared as two different troops). The shock was to give a miniature of a very good profile, only to be told that we could use it for a few months because then she would be dead.
Exactly, which shows that appearing in the background of the game, having a name and even having a miniature... does not guarantee having a profile.
She would be an Anaconda Operator anyways and thus wouldn't see much more time on the table Furthermore AFAIK the Outrage box isn't available anymore which makes it actually harder / nearly impossible for new players to get the two playable characters. So instead of tossing out more profiles that are currently not backed by miniatures CB should put Emily and Uhahu in a proper blister to make them available. Uhahu is kind of essential for StarCo, Emily not so much but nice to have.
Which is why: Beba is my Anaconda operator (the Original Anaconda operator is my Spitfire / Red Fury ABH) Nakdai is my Saito Togan (because I can't stand any of the actual Saito sculpts) Domovoi is generic ABH / Digger Jethro is ABH Sniper / Druze Marksman Indeed only Emily and Uhahu do as themselves. And all is fine, at least for me...
Concerning the sale of the miniatures, in August 2021 they had removed their Outrage Pack, indicating that they would release a "Compilation Pack Outrage" for the October 2021 releases. The pack was never released, with no official comment from them, maybe it will come back one day under this mysterious format (I think it was an Outrage Pack + Dire Foes Nocturne bundle).
Agreed, i'm happy i was there to play the ITS 8 ALIVE group and i'm happy we only got 1 permanent character (bit&kiss) rather than the whole group.
Updating all the old CB special missions etc. to N4 would be a really cool fan project. If you did a decent job and asked for a round of edits from CB, maybe they would be willing to re-release them for casual play. The prequel missions about the stranded colonists on (was it Dawn, or Paradiso), the set about the demise of the FRRM, the Outrage set,... what other special mission packs have there been? Wasn't there a QK storyline set?
I share the frustration of the author and do not get the people, who say "hey they just died, can't play them"... That is just strange. Buy box, half of box is proxy for other miniatures. Fluff-wise - there are some characters who died a lot and still in the game, for example: Al Diabel, Avatar, Spector. Again, fluff-wise, universe with CUBE, which grants immortality, just hire some cube jaegers in case of smth will go wrong.
Oh well... You need to retrieve the Cube to perform a resurrection. And it is not a notmal practice anyway. Do you resurrect V.I.P. with a lot of money and influence (politic, economic, warfare, whatever) or a bunch of clueless and nationless morons dead no one knows where while doing something they are not even supposed to do (and without proper blessing from superior powers)?
The lore must be accepted as a whole, not only having its benefits (resurrection) without taking into account the drawbacks (the strict control that the different factions and organizations have on it). Even having cube and being recovered, people depend on their government, or group they work for, deciding that they are useful enough to be resurrected... and some absolutely expendable mercenaries, in an operation that doesn't exist, are not usually candidates to consider.
Most probably anyone of them that had a cube, is in Yu Jing secret services custody and either interrogated, slated for interrogation, kept in a dark vault as a future asset or, if they are extremely mean, destroyed to avoid the possibility of the individual coming back, if any of them does not have an old school backup copy (not that likely) the possibility of their cube be found and possibly resurrected, is slim to non existent.
