At first I thought you said to get rid of the FTO ones lol. But I see what you mean now. There's no need for the holo ones. I think some may try them once and never again. I know I did. I think those profiles were made for vanilla. But I would never use them in vanilla either. There's much better troops for the same price. I like holoprojector though, It's just fun to play, so maybe if they gave them Forward Deploy it could help? I agree on Madtraps for all. Sure it could be a giveaway for having one but then, which one?

So now that these are coming out I've updated the numbers.

Nope. Vanilla's skirmishing options are already super cut throat and these guys don't make the cut.

    Guilang
    Daofei
    Ninja
    Zencha
    Krit
    Beasthunter
    Long Ya
    Libertos

Ain't nobody got time for a bad Kanren. Give them a purpose in fireteams or nobody's gonna give a shit about 'em.

Parachutist with madtraps could be interesting, and fits their fluff. Kind of grasping at straws here.

Similar to the Kanren, not going to touch that Impersonation shitfire with a 50-foot-pole.

Since I love Bashi Bazouks, I'd love parachutist with holo echoes. How would Madtraps work though? I'm guessing they wouldn't be able to deploy them until after on the table. Which is fine by me.

Here's another CB mistake, Box set of TG when you can only have one in a fireteam. But so far only one Ye Mao who can be up to 3. TBH I only ever take one, the hacker. But that's not the point.

I think that now every troop has at last one figure now in Yu Jing.

    What I still want is
A general release of Lei Gong
    Liu Xing SO and/or Spitifre

Almost everything now is easily a proxy. The only thing I can see coming out is a box set of Ye Mao. I would guess ENG, Missile Launcher, and FO/Regular dude.

The secret about madtraps is that they're way better used as offensive weapons than they are defensively. Deploying them without minelayer on a parachutist profile would be no major loss, especially with the way that they'd be used on such a profile.

As far as Ye Mao go, don't forget the AP Spitfire that came in the Beyond Kaldstrom box, as well as the ITS Ye Mao without that hideous mask on her face. Unfortunately for the Ye Mao, the presence of those three sculpts likely means an actual box release won't come. And for what it's worth, it's not like you'd really need one anyway. Ye Mao are still quite niche, even if the fireteam change did make their inclusion in links more viable. You'll rarely ever want more than one on the table.

Bao are currently OOP and in need of a remake. So a box of bao could be a possible release in the future. Either as standalone Bao box or in the new shiny ISS box (next year) together with the new multirifle crane, marksman hsien and heavy shotgun su Jian. :D one can dream.

Crane Rank MR and Wu Ming HRL are going OOP in September ... maybe a first hint for a ISS rework paired with some new minis

Maybe? The hrl could also a re-pack. It's s still a good new-ish figure. Sforza too. He's not a star in ISS but he's in it.

He had a prominent new art piece with the new Valerya in Raveneye too, so chances of a new one are high I reckon.

Update to the releases. For next year, If they keep doing on Action box and a two-player set, that means Yu Jing, PanO, O-12, NA2, Tohaa would be the ones that haven't had a set in a while. I don't think they would do YJ vs. PanO again. I really hope YJ is NOT in a 2-player. I hate them because I can't afford them and no one every wants to split with me. I'd like to see ISS Action Pack.

I think an O-12 vs. NA2/Spiral/Tohaa could be pretty cool. They could kill two birds with one stone by adding more Tohaa through Spiral/NA2. Give them the one guy that never had a figure and re-make some of the older Spiral/Tohaa figures.

What I'd really like is a NA2 Ikari. You can add to many different NA2 forces at once. Ninja, and/or a new JSA troop, Brawler, Armand, Druze, etc.

Tohaa is never going to be a 2-player box focus. Even less likely than an NA2, which I also doubt will ever see one.

I agree about Tohaa sadly. I know NA2 is a stretch but that leaves only Yu Jing, PanO, O-12.

CA hasn't been in a set since Shasvastii but would they do that after just re-doing the Morats? PanO just had the MO but still possible since they sell I guess.

Since after Aleph and Haqq are being added to Code One, there's no other forces they can add to it unless they do something with Tohaa. They could however add troops to existing Code One factions.

Some interesting mixes I think are possible. I think O-12 is a strong contenders for something since they haven't been in a box set for a few years.
    Yu Jing vs. Ikari/JSA/NA2
    PanO (SAA) vs. CA (OCF)
    O-12 vs. Combined Army (OCF)
    O-12 vs. Spiral/Tohaa/NA2

    What has happend recently
2022 Morats, Aleph (SP), Haqqislam (HB)
2021 JSA (Repack) Nomads (JCC), Aridadna (Kosmo)
2020 Military Orders, Yu JIng (WB), PanO (SF)
2019 Not sure who got the Action Pack, O-12, CA (Shasvastii)

The question is: Will CB continue to make TwoPlayerBoxes? Code One has finished with the last box. But I guess the boxes are good sellers, so I think in one or another form we will see this also in the future.

The combatants strongly depent on which sectorials will be revieved which also means some others will discontinued. The current state of sectorials is finished - there is room or ideas of some more and one of the first could be another O-12 one, just because they have only one. There was light rumour about the bikers of Haq and the hyper powers alrady have enough.

NA2 in a battle box is very unlikly because that will be mainly repacks of existing minis. They do not have enough minis on their own.

Tohaa ... will they ever see the light again? My guess is, fluffwise the parked outside for a while.

    Haqqislam
    Aleph
    Combined Army
    Nomads
    PanO
    Ariadna
    O-12
    NA2[/QUOTE]

For ISS I see potential for an army box incl. update.

WB & IA still have some small holes to fill.

Haq is already getting a release string. Same for Aleph.
For CA there could be an overhaul for OCF - but I hope not ;-) or they may decide its time to make a sectorial that acts as homebase for the aspects.

Nomads could definitly see a remake for Bakunin.

Pan O waits for the Karhu, but not eagerly anymore. Apart from this some minor releases, combi Nokken is still missing. Maybe Varuna has to take a nap to revoke NCA or Acon.

Ariadna has potential to push the changing wheel, france in, USA out - something like that.

O-12 is candidate for another sectorial.

NA2 collects lim. ed. releases or Aristos ;)

I know Nomads sell but they got 23 figures last year. Only 1 this year. I can't see them doing a big box set for them already.

Combined got 12 last year and this year they are at 15 with more to come.

Yu Jing only got 10 last year and 4 so far this year. They are due.

That would make sense if the creative efforts going into Yu Jing are currently directed at ISS that we kinda know are getting a larger release soon

Fluff wise, I'm fine with them, but ruleswise they continue to be problematic.

Personally I'd prefer ISS instead of a new sectoral. There's already plenty. If they did I wouldn't complain though. Well, my wallet would. There have been hints at an imperial navy with Haidao and Tiangou. I don't think there's anything in the background already. I think there should have been a Paradiso force. YJ owns their two worlds and parts of Huangdi, Paradiso, and small parts of Dawn. We now have our mountain and arctic force, now how about Jungle?

Jungle is technically IA. They're deployed on Paradiso.

CB stated still somewhat recently they have no plans for new sectorials, so I think 2023 and possibly 2024 will see re-releases of old ones.
