I was reading the raveneye book and i just notice something (im a bit slow, sorry). Why lately, the only images in the books are figure photos and troops pin ups? Do you remember when there were lil comics, with 3-4 panels? In that places we saw for 1st time in the past things like seraph, blue wolf or krizas, even years before their debut. I miss them
The difference in the cost of ink is going to be negligible whether they print just text or all illustrations (if there's any difference at all).
Well the haqquislam and Aleph going oop shouldn't cause too much panic. Even with the newer sculpts. Remember a few months ago the black jack going oops caused me to sweat. Oh it turned out that it was going into a code1 box. Just because the Ramah stuff isn't in hassasin Bagram doesn't mean it won't be showing up in a c1 booster. As for the ojotnik scouts. I hope he gets a result. The newer scout design looks great. But the ojotnik is my favorite loadout.
I swapped the BSG from the TAKtion pack Scout for a sniper rifle from a Bolt Action weapon sprue, looks really cool

That was my solution but when I run him next to Alexi and his nicely detailed and properly scaled ojotnik. My eye twitches a bit. It must be perfect, I also assume it'd have a distinct pose.

My friend working with a zond and me having worked with the bear, I feel like cb has switched to hard. My bear sanded and filed nicely which is the main complaint about siocast soft. It shouldn't be too tough to trim with an xacto if you want to carve the pilot out.
Diamond files and wet and dry sand paper (silicon carbide?) seem to do it fine. For extreme cases, "haircut" with scissors/sidecutters or the superglue consolidation trick. Now, engraving... still figuring best approach. I ponder how safe is that, vs using a tiny hand saw or even a minidrill with cutting disks and diamond drill bits. IE, force in blade vs tool doing the job with repetitive but light touch. The plastic seems to be to go from hold to collapse without any warning, and then you do not want a finger near a fast moving blade.
My experience is to be very careful and use the correct tools to secure the mini to perform the task. Clamps and the like have been invaluable for me when I use my rotary multi tool or when I’m cutting with a blade. I am interested to see how the Bultrak will behave under the knife so to speak though. So I guess we’ll just see how it’s conversion goes…
So wishing I could have gone. The real world and work called however and I have to get things done by Monday. So no expo for me. Glad you were able to get your minis!
Nice one colbrook, happy to see someone received one. Event only sales are just zero chance for me and take all the fun out of limited models. Maybe there will be some websites that advertise when Black Friday is so I can remember to try and make an order, I'd much rather just buy this direct from a local store though...
The box will be available to buy at Gen Con on August 4th-7th. When O-12 were released at Gen Con 2019 they released the profiles into Army the first day of the convention (I remember reading them in the taxi on the way there) More recently CB finally made it back to the US with the Morat release at Adepticon, once again the new Morat rules, as well as the new Fireteam rules, were released the first day of the convention.
