So I stumbled upon an old miniature from a previous iteration of Warcrow. Is it well known that Corvus Belli used to make Warcrow? The miniature looks cool. Do we think the new Warcrow will be similar to the old one? Here's the listing I found. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15493583...XqEGcheRC2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
While there might be some similarities, the new Warcrow is being created from scratch rather than as an update/extension of the old miniatures line.
I don't think it's well know that CB used to make Warcrow, but its not a secret either. When I started playing Infinity in N@ they still had a Warcrow section on their site and store.
I want to say it's reasonably well known, but... I've been playing Infinity for a long time. The original Warcrow minis were just fantasy minis, no game or lore, etc. It's been explicitly stated that the new game will only share a name with the old line. If memory serves, CB licensed out the old minis, too, so you can still buy them... But i might also be thinking of their historical minis.
Their 15mm Ancients series got licensed, Plastic Soldier Company are doing some, ironically meaning the first CB minis in Siocast weren't made by CB, but I don't think any of the OldCrow minis got licensed out.
I remember one time around a decade ago a big order direct from CB arriving with a handful of tiny historical figures thrown in as a freebie.
Still regarded as some of the best 15mm historical minis! On topic Warcrow series were never licensed to others, but no connection is to be expected from the old Warcrow minis to the new game, maybe we will see some tribute models? but there was no background, worldbuilding, or game behind the old Warcrow miniatures line.
Thanks for the insight. I'm interested to see what the new Warcrow models are like. I quite like the look of some of the more fantastical of the old ones.
