Our teams were in Starmada were largely untouched beyond getting toned down such that Hector is nowhere near as beastly (along with the Andromeda nerf really kick SM in the head hard).

Though the addition of the linkable Epsilon, Cho, and wildcard Bronze are nice.
And on the Bronze it being able to duo with Varangians in Vanilla is something that could be interesting in certain missions and something I will be exploring in the near future.

Linkable Epsilon is huge. Starmada has been aching for a long range threat for a long time and an HMG with MSV 2 and Mimetism fits that perfectly.

The Kappa SWC pieces also got a lot better; with a full core they hit BS 15, which is equal or higher than most things in a Mixed Core. And being able to add Bluecoats and Raveneyes to the mix makes that Fireteam really flexible.

Tourniquet, what's your opinion on the bronze duo loadout? Spec op? I really liked the look of that too.

Tried it the other night in vanilla Duo'd with a varangian, seems promising but more testing is required. But given the nature of the game (a lot of crits on the opponenents end and me not rolling higher than a 5), its difficult to get any real information.

    Here's the list.

Rebuilt it from memory so what is in which group isn't entirely correct.

I've played four games with Starmada since the update. Here's what I've learned (I'm not a great player by any means so take it or leave it I guess).
    • Bronze + Santiago/Shona duo has been great. Every time I use a duo with a Bronze it just works out.
    • Varangian smoke + Epsilon is great we already knew. I've been running the Epsilon as a member of both the Beta and Nyoka harris. It's alright, but I don't think the Harris bonus is needed. Nyokas work okay to guard the Epsilon as it runs around the table (especially for just generating orders), but overall I think you can get the same work out of the epsilon without him in a fire team.
    • Raveneye with EM mines + Gluecoat makes the core team a tough defensive nut to crack for anything that isn't TI.
    • While I haven't run an active LT yet, Starmada wants one it feels like. Most LT options I've considered seem to be obvious picks in the core team (kappa, RavenEye, and Cho masquerading as one of the latter in that team). While the security team is extremely defensive and thus usually okay for LT. It is obvious that your LT is somewhere there (maybe that's just my bad list building though). You do have Saladin which I'm going to try next (Maybe use Cho for two Saladins, but then both are a target). With Saladin then you can just move his order to an active model. Of course, the other way to go is to just Chain of command Cho and then have an active LT like Hector or Santiago, which I feel is the best option, you just get an extra order that way to do more with a tough LT.
    • Psi cop as a wildcard has been good, with MSV it's been a great addition to any fireteam I've added it to.
I've actually been enjoying Starmada since the update, I know that isn't a super popular opinion around here but from what I've seen so far it's been decent.

Wildcarding stuff into a security haris mostly for the purpose of lugging an unhackable Dep. Rep. piece around seems useful to me.
It's something I need to test.

Can you show us one of your lists? I'd be really interested what Starmada can look like now that their Aleph units don't seem like auto-includes anymore :)

I am very happy with fireteams upgrade. Epsilon linkable is HUGE! that extra shot is great either deffensive or offensive. another great change is cho linkable... Also I have to try raveneye officer in next match.

If it wasn't enough that he's a cheap E/M Minelaying specialist Lieutenant that can form Pure Fireteams with Kappas, Cho, and Bluecoats, he's also a fantastic miniature!

Sure thing, sorry I'm a bit late getting back. Need to check the forms more. I'll just post these three.

The first list here uses Hector and friends. Idea is that Epsilon can move Hector into position (yes this goes against my initial thoughts but I think I may have been wrong). Epsilon is gunfighting with Varangian smoke support to get wherever he's going. Then let hector loose on the enemy. The idea is to just "wrecking ball" into your opponent with Hector.
The secondary active piece is the crusher. You could take the MR profile as well, up to you.
Idea is that hopefully by the third round all you'll have left, and need, will probably be the security team which should be fine if Hector and friends manage to kill other threats on the board.

    Kessel Run
I don't do names very well.
I ran this list the other day and it actually did pretty well.
Your opponent won't know if Cho is in the security team or a second lambda watching the TR bot. Worked pretty well for me. Just gotta be careful to not get your Zeta killed too quickly/easily. You could also run the Epsilon as a multi sniper rifle here if you wanted, I just prefer the flexibility HMG provides.

    Unmasking
This one features the Bronze/Santiago I was talking about. It did very well against my opponent's YJ (ISS I think?). Really gave him a tough time trying to get around it to the HVT they were protecting.
