    Discussion

So I'm a vanilla player so I'll talk about vanilla.

    • Being able to duo Asawira is absolutely absurd because you can now stop them from going impetuous, if you wish. Fireteams still stop Frenzy triggering. This is obviously very good for gunfighter Asawira profiles.
    • The changes to the Namurr make it actually very interesting. CC attack +1B with an E/M CCW or D charges is obviously excellent, even with a low CC value of 21. Being able to take a profile with Tactical Awareness and stick it in a duo adds to the faction's order efficiency in a very significant way.
    • Being able to take duos in vanilla Haqqislam is a massive buff because it allows you to take many more irregular troops without feeling so order starved. Each regular order goes further, and that means it hurts less to have fewer. If I only have 7 regular orders in group 1 but each one is moving an Asawira AND a Mukhtar then that's probably still just better than having 8 regulars and not being able to duo the Asa + Muk.
Note that Haqqislam made out amazingly here. The duo options are far more limited in O12, Nomads, Aleph, and Combined Army. They're ok in PanO, and amazing in YJ. Comparatively Haqq did pretty well. We're also the only faction that came out with straight buffs. Nomads got mildly nerfed (Jazz 1 point more), Aleph got mildly nerfed (Andromeda loses infiltration+6, for +3). O12 and PanO got some nice minor changes too though.

    Thoughts?

Looking outside of Vanilla, Khawarij got a "count as ghulams" in Ramah

Looks like Zhayedan got it though!

I don't know Vanilla Haqq very well, but even I can see this is going to be massive. Asawira's big weakness of frenzy in Vanilla is basically gone. The Maghariba and Shakush can get a body guard and button pusher with a Rafiq, Govad Killer Hacker, or Druze. An attack piece can haul up a Druze pitcher with them for order efficiency, and instead use those orders for pitching and hacking. This seems massive for Vanilla.

I'm really happy for Ramah's changes. Maybe a little less ground breaking, but the addition of Zhayedan to cheaper core fireteams makes them feel more like the "Haqq PanO-like sectorial" they are. Little sad I lost my core-linked Khawarij, but I gained the Khawarij 6-2 and Tarik with Rafiq I was begging for. Namurr rework is interesting, it feels like they want it to be our version of the Asawira in being a versatile wildcard. Fiddler FTO is weird and I have mixed feelings on it, but I guess if you wanted to do a Khawarij Haris and don't care about +3 to Discover she's the same cost as the cheapest Khawarij but with NWI and a nicer toolbelt. Maybe Fiddler+Khawarij Doc+Khawarij pointman could be a decent support and secondary attack vector to a Shakush or Maggie?

Well, he doesn't get the full old benefits of +3 BS in a ghulam core since he doesn't have (Ghulam), but I don't think they will go unused. Khawarij Haris is looking nice now that we can put cheaper Zhayedan in the ghulam core to compensate for the high cost of Khawarij.

I have got to say I'm impressed too. MOV 6-2 on Khawarijs is nice, the Namurr seems very interesting now. And Zhayedans in core links with Ghulams is nice.

To touch on the Bahram fireteams, the Barid is still a friend of Ghulams instead of his hassassin brothers, but you can have mix of Govads, Muyibs, and Lasiqs in an "HB" fireteam. Leila and Yasbir both count as Ghulams and Muyibs, but curiously Yara doesn't count as anything special for fireteam composition.

For QK, formerly the only sectorial with Haris and most flexible linker, things are looking more rigid. There is the Ghulam fireteam with Hafza and Alguaciles for some reason. And the QK fireteam is only Odalisques, Sekbans, and Hafzas, and the latter 'counts' as one of the former too. Again, curiously, Djanbazans are absent, perhaps too unfriendly? They and the Janissaries have their own team. The Azra'il is friends with Rafiq, and the Kaplans and Druze have yet more unique teams.

Finally, RTF has two more teams not much touched on: Janissaries and Armored Assault. Fasid can link with Janissaries now, which will likely be too expensive for Core but having a big gun with mines and smoke in Haris could be fun. The Armored Assault team is even more expensive, if for some reason you want 2 TAGs, a TAG and a Fasid, or a little Zhayedan to keep you company.

Khawarijs haris i'm gonna try very soon, never played them much but with 6-2 i'm now quite tempted as i like the miniatures.

Not sure what to do with the bahram fireteam, could make a nice haris. Have to think it over.

    Yes.
However, it will count as "mixed" Fireteam for the purpose of fireteam bonuses.

I dislike that Asawira went down to 3 AVA in HB and can only form a mixed link. But, other than this I’m very pleased with the updates.

Edit: Quick question, can Tarik duo with Rouhani? They are both wild cards, but I don’t know.
