I'm sorry you feel that way about the release, it stinks to not jive with it!

For me I love the redesign and new release schedule. It's rare (in Infinity) to have a fully produced model line. I'd personally prefer to own at least 1-2 of the most used profiles per unit instead of owning all the profiles for 60-80% of the units.

I am really pumped that they're recognizing that and planning the MAF releases in that manner. It's also a much better experience for a new player if you think about it. They're delivered a great mix of options in an economical fashion which only broadens the mass appeal!

it definitely has its upsides. I guess I'm just worried about not getting models for profiles I really want.

Edit: Clearly I'm in a complaining mood.

There is irony in Changing/enhancing Fireteam rules to differentially benefit 5 homogeneous models, then market Release box purchase-options as 'mixed' sets, of 'possibly' prevailing particular models.
Backfilling of (aging) units, for newer players, may become more of a treasure hunt!
Then again, proxy ubiquity, is a part of the game (in our venue).

Corvus Belli Infinity SINGLE Models: cast and ship on demand service would be welcome, and pre-emptive to pirate 3Ders. Subject to minimum purchase of course!

You realize in the context of MAF all those models count as the same model for Unit composition, right? That's the point of the box, you get a neat little fireteam packed in and with all the weapons you'd like to use to boot.

I get the people above who would like to have the 'generic' models for their collection, but this makes no sense, mate.

He might have been talking about this new release style in the context of non-MAF factions who do have more limited link options.

We don't know yet what new boxes for those other armies will be composed of. But I'm also not a fan of the new release style, aside from larger action packs taking place of old starters.

Speaking about things I'm not a fan of, Yaogat dossier and render convinced me to try and get old style Morats for the majority of the army. This will leave me with very few new-style units to get, and most of the ones I'll need - like Dartok, Kaitok, or Kyosot - are actually pretty good-looking.

To be honest I prefer the new ones over the two last iterations, I prefer the fully enclosed suit with no hair showing, but I do miss the arm shield.

What I found bizarre was the "horns" but now that I see they are in the backpack and not on the helmet like a sensor array they look better.

Bostria heavily suggested that each in-focus faction will receive another balance pass when they are eventually released. This is not great for recently released ones, like WinterFor, White Banner or Military Orders, but maybe those will get something along the way to iron out the kinks.

Those boxes will likely be constructed in a manner that will benefit each sectorial in their own way.

Feedback and experience along with tournament results will probably shape the balance, the fireteam changes are a big project that can only be finetuned with real life experience.

I REALLY don't care for the new Yaogats. They are by far my least favorite of the new Morats, which I already feel are a pretty mixed bag. I just don't feel like they look like Morats at all, and they could very easily fit into almost any other Infinity army. But what really left me cold is they totally tossed out every neat design element from the previous two versions. Both other older Yaogats had a lot going for them, and each was cool in their own way. The new models keep nothing from either. They're a huge disappointment.

The new army is pretty okay as its own thing, but more and more its feeling like whoever designed them just really didn't like anything about the older Morats. As someone who loves the older Morats I find these new design choices baffling. Its left me feeling orphaned from my favorite army.

I can understand that, the second Morat redesign had strong coherent elements.

Thats not to say that these new models don't have a lot going for them. Even though I feel like several of them are pretty generic, they're still well done and have some neat elements, and I think if they were a new army they'd be really exciting. But as Morats? I'm having a lot of trouble with them.

I do genuinely like the new Anyat, and I think the Tyrok and Zabuk really do feel Morat. I'm eager to see the new Daturazi too.

That's the thing, previous version was very coherent.

nuMorats might feel coherent too, though. We just haven't seen enough of them yet to fully see it. Time will tell.

Yeah. I mean, we can already see a lot of consistent design elements. The helmets. The tubes. The ribbed under armor. The knee pads. The similarities between the vanguard jumpsuits and Anyat's outfit. I'm sure we'll see Kornak in a coat, too. I think these will grow into the new Morat aesthetic, and in a year or two it will be really clear. Its not what I wanted at all, but... well, what can you do? Complain a bunch of the official forum knowing that it won't change anything, I guess.

For the new morats we clearly can see a divide between "military" models like the yaogat, vanguard, etc and "civilian" models like the zabuk, daturazi, Tyrok, etc.

I think I prefer the civilian style with the more antique armor, pelts and so on. The military models can feel a little uninspired sometimes. I mean, the bultrak sucks, just plain and simple, it's a horrible design with maybe some cool ideas. I plan on heavily converting mine to remove that baby carrier look.

However, I do like most of the military units. I think the only ones I'm not exactly stoked about are the yaogat due to its somewhat generic looks and the bultrak as mentioned. Kaitok is a bit of a mixed bag, but he has style.

I am a little afraid of stuff like Suryats, Sogarats and the Raicho getting redesigns though. Those models look really good.

I really hope that when they get to those models that they try to preserve at least some of what made them cool. Morat HI, especially the Sogarat, are iconic.

CA players enjoy your new dangly cock(pit) TAG!

Designed by the same mad Spaniard who decided Long Ya should have cock sensors.

WHY DOES ITS CROTCH LIGHT UP? WHY WAS THIS NECESSARY?

I like that design, but the crotch is pretty weird.

I think once we let them get away with the Iguana the cock was out of the bag.

(I'm joking. The Iguana is great.)
