Kendrat vs Beasthunter.

Discussion in 'Access Guide to the Human Sphere' started by Pettynyt Pelaaja, Mar 14, 2022.

  1. If in a hypothetical alternate reality you were allowed to add a miniature without applying Cost (in the style of Bike Recon), to choose between Kendrat and a Beasthunter (any weapon option)...

... Which one would you choose? And why that option and not the others?

gotta echo that, YJ beast hunter looks very good. I'd rather take him than kendrat. Camo is very useful.

  4. If Beasthunter could only be chosen from non-faction exclusives (the 9-point one and the two 15-point ones), would you still prefer it over Kendrat?

Probably Kendrat then, since better gun and abilities.

Buuut my sectorial doesn't have a lot of camo/midfield stuff, so maybe still 15 point beasthunter for free. Camo marker with Panzerfaust and Flamethrower could be a good speed-bump, especially if I am already taking one with my Ramah.

having competent CC models in a camo and forward deployment state is just so useful to a lot of forces as its a gap filler. kendrat is kinda cool but she's a CC model with limited delivery options into cc

yeah even if it's not the yu-jing one, I'd take a beasthunter over kendrat anyday. Also over liang kai, who's pretty much superior to kendrat in any way except the sexy monke rip abs

  8. Thank you very much for the answers

I have a Kendrat miniature from Defiance and was wondering whether to keep it as a Kendrat or modify it to make it a Beasthunter.

As a side project, in the medium/long term (possibly longer than medium term, I'm afraid) I have the creation of thematic «vehicles?», that can serve as scenery elements.

    One of them will surely be a «Land Crawler» for «Kendrat Beasthuntress»

This could be a concept art of the vehicle/scenery...

As someone very jealous of you having the Kendrat model, I would keep her normal and just use her as a Beast Hunter (since all she has is a knife), or get a different model for Beasthunter. Mine is a modified Liang Kai with a morat weapon and spare Raktorak head with the beard removed to be a Beasthunker/Tyrok.

Yeah, I wouldn't take a knife to her, maybe glue on something if you want to represent the panzerfausts, but not cut anything.
Her Vulkan shotgun is basically a flamethrower anyways, so I see no reason to change it out.

There's also a limited edition Tyrok Huntress going up for preorder next week that'll probably make a great Beasthunter.

As someone who is also very jealous of you having the Kendrat model ... I would also keep it standard. Plenty of people would prefer it if you'd rather rip apart some other model more readily available :P Just use the paint scheme to show your intention :)
