I'm planning to get back into TAC and need some input regarding my purchases. I'm not looking to be maxed out in terms of viability, but I also want to avoid buying into trap choices – you know the deal. Here's what I'm thinking so far: - Spetsnaz pack (Sniper will as Frontovik AP Sniper) - Kazak Line troopers to form a core - Col. Voronin - 113 Biker - Antipode Assault pack - Pavel (can double as Scout Ohotnik) - Dynamo pack What have your experiences with TAC been in N4 so far? Any standout units that performed unexpectedly well/bad? Looking forward to your input.
Highly recommend Carmen and Bâtard, especially this season as they can get some serious work done Irmandiños are a near must as well, basically any cheap smoke throwers are going to be really worthwhile I've found that at least currently TAK's camo threat can largely be ignored, once your opponents figure that out you'll want to gravitate towards more durable non-camo pieces. While I really like scouts and tankhunters and the like, they're just too expensive to make it into most of my lists, especially for only being one wound models with lowish armor
I second the irmandinhos, any faction that can take them really should. Smoke, specialist and free order to use them each turn? Godsend for lots of ITS missions! I also quite like dog warriors as flanker. Not convinced you necessarily need both in the box, might be worth picking one half of the box up from shae
Dog warriors are extremely good at the moment. Durable, cheap, non-interactive way of killing enemy troopers with grenades. Personally I think that mass camo is very good at in this age of impersonators, fullcore pitchers and hidden depo HRLs. Ofc the rules for minelayers and decoys are a mess at the moment, but so is AROs so it’s not that bad.
