Hi. I Wonder if it would be better step to change some identifications of rules better for understanding and remembering Here are for hacking Hacking (isolate) Hacking (kill) Hacking (mask) Hacking (target) Hacking (possess) Same for phenemonic attacks Phenemon (kill) endgame Phenemon (isolate) eraser Phenemon (target) Phenemon (heal) etc. Instead of impersonation. Masked, masked(ambush) Instead of impetious, nco and tactical awereness Initiative Rush, initiative command, inititave strategist Instead of supression fire, state total reaction Do you like it? Or would u prefer the ones we use?
Personally I prefer the "flavour" of the current naming, I think CB has already simplified a lot of the skill names. But I understand why some people might prefer even simpler names. And some of the names you used are just a different kind of flavour... why does "Initiative rush" make more sense than "Impetuous"? BTW, Supression Fire and Total Reaction are totally different things
The one that I really want renamed is Bioimmunity, should be Active countermeasures, Adaptive Armour, adv or similar since it no longer actually gives shock and viral immunity.
I'd also like to see "transmutation" renamed, it makes sense for dog warriors, and sort of for symbioarmor, not at all for battle-ravaged units. Most of the names are fine, though.
Agreed with the others. As a grumpy old fart of a veteran player I'm happy with most of these colourful names and now that they've removed duplicate skills they've also removed the misunderstandings that used to happen if someone said "I'll immobilize you in response". I can't tell if Carbonite or Hack Immobilization would be preferable to a newer player, but either works during games which is all fine by me. The flip side of this coin is as the others have added, there's still skills that needs renaming as they're confusing more than helpful (Bioimmunity is a very good example) IMO, the problem with Transmutation is more the fact that Tohaa now has access to a unit that doesn't make sense to work with their biotech more so than the name (and this can honestly be avoided by having the symbio' skills refer to units with a secondary profile named "Inactive Symbiont Armor" which all of them have). That said, I'd still prefer Transformation if only because it's less archaic.
