    This.

I would buy the box stand alone to use as proxies for various troopers. But I an not interested in TAG Raid, just not my kind of board game.

CB likes to repeat poses a lot, even now with 3D modeling. I guess they have a handul of "cut and place" patterns for the rubber molds, and do not dare to deviate and try different poses.

I mean I like them a lot and ... if you look more closely they are not that similar anymore, but at first glance they look rather similar. The silhouette of the Yujing Huntress was almost identical with Sheskiin. Except for the FF-Sword, of course.

The design feels familiar but I can't put my finger on which IP the little extra robot arm is borrowed from.

I think the thing I like the most is that they made profiles that only went to certain factions. I wish they would do more of that with the Miners! Actually, it would be cool if they did that a little more with other mercenaries! Only if they belong to more than one faction however. Just like they did with Liberto and Dashat. They have two different versions to choose from. But what if like Yu Jing and Nomads also had different versions? This is especially good for non-character mercenaries. ABH, Cube Jagger, Monstruckers, REM Racers, etc. I think it would go a long way to make them less cookie cutter. This could be with some characters too though. Like Liang Kai is at a different point in his life when he worked for Yu Jing vs. SWF.

The PanO tech-bee has a similar mechanical arm.

It would be cool if CB stopped with the scummy market tactics and let Infinity players buy Infinity miniatures without paywalling them behind a game nobody gives a shit for

I'd be a lot more on board with TAG Raid if it was a campaign book add on to Infinity with unique missions than if it was a complete box set of stuff I don't care about chained to one or two models I really do care about. Release the models piecemeal, but bundle them as a box for a Kickstarter.

That's really not the situation here.

CB's kickstarters give you the minis at a bargain price, even without factoring in any of the board game related stuff.

Retail for a blister is 13 euro. The Core pledge gives you 16 metal minis for 120 euro, which is 7.5 euro each. That's a better deal than even the two player box sets like Kaldstrom. The Platinum pledge will work out between 10.40 to 9.25 euro based on the number of stretch goals hit. Even without considering the TAGs, or the monsters or any of the other junk CB is offering a better than retail deal dollar to mini-wise.

The same was true for Defiance, the price was an absolute bargain for the amount of minis we got. You can't really accuse them of paywalling minis to prop up their board games when we're getting stuff cheaper than retail prices.

Not to mention CB's extremely generous proxy rules, that we'll be needing to use as these miniatures won't be in anyone's hands for at least a year.

I was considering the possibility of using one of the Shikami models, but it's quite a bit too Japanese-y.

    Anyone have any good suggestions?

Yeah but the value is sort of subjective. Unless you play all four of the base factions, you're paying to get minis you may not want or need. Even if you did get value out of all of them, it's a lot of duplicate profiles in N4. For many people, the value of a number of the minis they receive is going to be functionally $0 unless they either split the box up among players, re-sell the stuff they don't want, or are committed to finding proxy uses for all of them. I'd personally rather take the same money and buy half as many figures but end up with no chaff - I think that's where people who don't love the value proposition of this kickstarter are coming from. I play 3 of the 4 base factions and I *still* don't feel like it's a good deal versus just spending the same amount of money on the stuff that I want to buy.

Agreed. I am not complaining that the hunters are part of the platinum pledge, after all I got the platinum pledge for Defiance. The issue is that (unlike Defiance) I'm not interested in the base game, so everything except the stoorworm, steindrage and the hunters is of very limited use or appeal to me.
€250 for 4 minis and 2 monsters isn't something I can justify to myself, nor to Mrs Dragonstriker.

While some people may not find value in all of the minis that's no different from any of the 10+ mini box sets CB already sells at retail at a more expensive price per mini. My advice is just split it up and sell it on facebook. I more than doubled the money I spent on Defiance just selling the excess minis I didn't want.

The Huntress tipped the scales for me. I want the YJ hacker for a REM racer, and the dog REM will provide a much needed replacement for the Yao Zao that often winds up with Krit. Going in for a 5 way split on a platinum pledge with some of the locals.

Understandable, of course. It sounds like you're in a position to do all three of the things that I suggested are what would make it worthwhile: splitting the buy, proxying (for a REM Racer), and selling the excess.

I'm honestly curious about how many people are depending on re-selling to make this 'work' for them and how much money CB is losing to the secondary market that they could capture themselves if they allowed 'grab bag' style pledges for people who just wanted to pick up a few specific pieces.

I'm honestly surprised they don't offer marked up pledges for specific items.

I was thinking one of the two Liang Kai, old Shaolin, Jing Qo, and Kanren with pistol. There's sadly not much with little to no armor. Less Yu Jing looking would be Saito Togan, Igao, Bran do Castro (Monkey King?), Avicenna (I might use her myself).

I just want to say the camo Huntress seems like an awesome addition to WBA, and I am excited to use her.

If Beast Hunters was a game itself, I would have had a hard time NOT getting into it!
