So with guided, you can elect to use any of the weapons that the model has to use as part of the guided bs attack. In OSS, the samekh rebot has bs attack (guided) and a flash pulse as a weapon. I cannot see anything that would prevent using flash pulse as the weapon to guided, creating a hammer of dawn low-setting like effect and potentially stunning everything in the template on wip+6 roll.
Last bullet point of Guided: Only weapons that use the BS Attribute may be used with the BS Attack (Guided) Skill. Flash Pulse is a Technical Weapon: This weapon can make BS Attacks, but uses the WIP Attribute in place of BS. When using this weapon, consider all rules and MODs that would affect the trooper's BS as affecting his WIP Attribute instead. However, the BS Attack (Shock) Skill and Fireteam Bonuses cannot be applied when using a Technical Weapon. So, no. Flash Pulse can't be used with BS Attack(Guided).
That is what I was afraid of all along, the way it is worded, if a GML bot had a pistol, it would add a guided mode to the pistol. I tried looking up all past troops that had guided weapon outside of GML (ie. Guided Sniper) bit found no problem so far. But you did manage to find a case where a trooper has Guided and unexpected weapons. never mind, as solkan pointed up WIP attribute weapon are not eligible.
In Shas there is a Nox Trooper with BS Attack (Guided) and a pistol :) I guess they can curve bullets like in Wanted...
I created a mission for a friend that equipped support troops with an ADHL, damn was that fun to see that guided glue gun shooting sticky templates on anything that got targeted
