Is the new Hatail Spec-Ops blister just a Kotail in disguise?

So, the more I look at the "new" (it's been out for a while already, I know) Hatail Spec Ops blister and the more I compare it to our old Kotail miniatures, the more similarities I found: same armour, same shoulder pads, same jacket, same boots, sae knees... the only difference is that the new "Hatail" miniature is hoodless.

Did Corvus Belli model a new Kotail and then they realized that the Kotail weren't available at all for Spiral Corps, and then they had to relabel it as a Hatail Spec Ops in order to release it?

This possible mistake is even more obvious when you take a look at the previously released Hatail models, the original old one and the one that came in the Spiral Corps Box. And, of course, there's the glaring fact that the Hatail Spect Ops cannot carry Symbiont Armour.

    What's your opinion?
Are you using it as a Kotail or as a Taqeul proxy?

They are very similar, though I do see differences at the Belt and Shoulder Straps, along with the obvious removal of the Hoodie.

I think it's designed similarly, but without the hoodie or helmet I'm hesitant to call it a mislabel.

Personally I think it fits better as a Taquel Proxy, as the Kotail's defining characteristic is the hood. Also the Kotail is... not exactly great right now, so I can't really remember the last time I took one, while the Taquel sees play pretty regularly.

I'm personally convinced it's a Taqeul that was last minute changed so the model was usable by Spiral Corps too.

Even the outstretched "hacker" arm in the box fits for that too.

I know I am using her as a Taqeul... even gave her a Tohaa pistol
