Just had our first game yesterday, amazing! :)

    Two questions:
    1. Dual wielding (ie having two one-handed weapons equipped), doe it do anything besides getting to choose which weapon you use for each attack and use the switches for that weapon? (Unlessy ou are Uma and have skills for it)
From what i see attack dice are not added together and you're not allowed an additional attack per action?

    2. An enemy that is doin a defence roll. Are they allowed to, for example, use one of the switches that is connected to their hacking attack on their card? Or which switches are they allowed to use? Do they need to have special defensive switches? In the example, would they be allowed to use the hacking switch if they had the tag "hacking specialist" and therefor used there hacking dice in defence?

    Thanks in advance!

    1) yes, basically. Dual wielding is pretty mediocre, unless you're Uma and spec for it. You might get value if you find some really great switches, buy generally you'd probably be better off taking a 2h weapon, or weapon and hacking device.

    2) no, the switches are tied to their BS/CC/Hacking rolls (as appropriate, like how you can't use BS switches on Hacking attacks and visa versa). If they had things that applied to Combat Rolls in general, they should work. "[X] Specialist" skills should also give the appropriate switches as they are literally substituting Rolls, IMO.

Full disclosure, I don't have the book in front of me so a lot of this is based on memory or gut instinct (which is heavily coloured by the Aristeia ruleset and so isn't perfect).

There are some one handed weapons that grant a bonus without using them for an attack directly, like wakizashi I think. But those are scarce.
