Can anyone tell? Fixing cufflinks? Pulling out a card?

I've got to say, I'm not super keen on it. Maybe a painted one will change my mind but it lacks several of the Haqqislam design cues (ribbed pants or tech pants, triangular design on knee, no three-part commlog), not to mention the expected O-12/Aleph combi.

Looks like a clear homage to the James Bond "adjusting your cuffs/gloves during an action sequence" motif.

Maybe, but it was pretty recently - and more clearly - done on the Taowu mini, if that's the case.

Looks like he is designed with O-12 in mind, and not Haqq. I like the pose, looks like he is hanging back and observing the fight like a tactician, but the gun looks out of place.

This is the Haqq version, the one on the Starmada box is the O-12 version.

I'm guessing he has an Aleph/O-12 combi because
    A) He's an Aleph recreation
    B) He's an O-12/Haqq liason
    C) There is no Haqq combi design.

I don't use this guy in any of my armies, but if i did I'd green stuff an eyepatch on him. Escape from Novvy Bankok!

I'm getting a really strong "putting on latex gloves before a prostate exam" vibe, not gonna lie. You can tell by that look on his face.

This clearly General Skywalker adjust his glove before laying some Force smack down.

I salute the tribalism while not embracing it.

Leto. I like that. I guess he should be fielded with Armand, then...

Other Haqq-aligned units with combis, like Kaplans or Druze, also frequently have Aleph weapon designs.

IIRC, these are high-end PanO-made guns which are popular on the open market.
Which is where O-12, Aleph and mercenaries are getting them.

What? You're saying that factions interact in the story?

Taowu is just an old copy of Saladin. You can tell them by their mannerisms.

I really love this new Saladin pose. It's a thinking-man pose that implies subtlety and refinement. It's got a different feel than the Tao Wu gloves-on pose, which feels more like a plotter getting ready for violence. Both are much more interesting than another gun pose or ragefist.

    Nice work, CB!

NGL I kinda like this new sculpt despite it clearly being Luke Skywalker.

I'm so glad I bought 7 Saladin models already for holoecho shenanigans!

It would be a terrible waste to buy this new model just to paint up a verdigris statue, but I'm really leaning towards adding a glorious piece to my table's statuary.

Any predictions on the preorder date?
