I was watching a TTS recorded match and i saw something i did not realize first. The questions are Two: • A couple of troopers moves near an enemy mine, no ARO from anyone. Then they declare the second short skill, as dodge (to avoid the mines blast). 1)I saw them measuring the mine explosion after the declaration of the second short skill, and firthermore: if the two troopers had declared move as second skill they will unable to dadge the mine, right? For istance if i move my trooper with the second short skill inside a mine template, i will have no way to delcare Dodge? 2) Since is possible to place a Mine as ARO does the mine triggers (if the enemy is in the trigger zone) at the end of the ARO is placed? • This is a complete different question, but came in the same match. Doeas Fireteam do Discover+Shoot action? I see them sayng is not possible but i can't catch why
For Discover+Shoot, it is because Discover is a Fireteam Support Skill, and you cannot combine two Fireteam Support Skill (even if one of said support skill is a Short Movement Skill). The impact is that only the leader makes the Discover (and not every models like in a Fireteam Movement skill) but the secondary impact is that now you can't chain it with BS Attack (a Fireteam Support Skill). Fireteam Order: Skill Combinations Movement Skill Movement Skill + Movement Skill Movement Skill + Evasion Skill / Evasion Skill + Movement Skill Movement Skill + Support Skill / Support Skill + Movement Skill Evasion Skill Support Skill
I'll try to summarize a bit. Since BS Attack is considered Support Skill and Discover is support skill i can't do both with the same Order, right? But that scheme you point (that i just founfed in the wiki) pop up me some question. Movement Skill + Evasion Skill / Evasion Skill + Movement Skill Movement Skill + Support Skill / Support Skill + Movement Skill Why the slashes? What means Support Skill / Support Skill and Evasion Skill / Evasion Skill? The two combination i pasted means that i can move my first MOV value, BsAttack (or dodge if i choose evasion) and then move the secondo MOV value?
1) This was a mistake by the players, the mine template should have been put down after the first skill Declaration. 2) As of the latest FAQ a Fireteam can Discover+BS Attack
Oh thanks, i should go to read FAQs too, i missed them. But what about this part too Movement Skill + Evasion Skill / Evasion Skill + Movement Skill Movement Skill + Support Skill / Support Skill + Movement Skill I'm confuse about the double movement, or the slash means the order of execution? Movement Skill + Evasion Skill OR Evasion Skill + Movement Skill
That. Also, sorry for missing the FAQ, didn't realize it was a recent FAQ (older FAQ are in the wiki, recent FAQ aren't).
So, if i put after the first skill declaration and then the enemy do his second skill (and is inside the trigger area) the mine will explode?
Yes, you would check their trigger area after each skill is declared, so if an enemy was out of range after their first skill you would check again if they moved closer with their second skill.
