I have some concerns about Is it legal to declare Discover vs model and not marker. From one point of view. There is a sucsessful discover as a condition of canceling holomask, from ather the Discover rules seems to be intend to target markers, despine it is not explicit on skill requirments. The holomask cancelation could be for holo-mask+ -echo state combination only. Other words, if I suppose some model is holomasked, but it is not in a marker state: can i try to discover it?
What if your opponent deploys three identical units that you suspect might be a single unit in holoecho state? How would you know whether you're allowed to declare Discover against one of them?
There are no components of Discover that mechanically force it to be a Marker, so yes it can be declared on a Model. The Holomask and Holoecho skills further explicitly state that Discover can be done against these Models. Unfortunately, all the rules for how to execute a Discover versus Holomask or Holoecho is located in the respective states and not in the Discover skill. (though, honestly, typically you don't try to Discover Holo troopers, you just shoot them and force them to drop the facade by reacting).
Typically you quote the one who is asking a question or who needs to see what you're writing. Was there something you felt I missed? Here's links for the clickings to happen, btw: https://infinitythewiki.com/Holoecho_State https://infinitythewiki.com/HoloMask_State
I made a mistake when I selected your message. Your answer is accurate enough. My intention was to quote the original message. Cheers
