Lets have some fun speculating the next two person set. History of the sets Icestorm 2016: Nomads vs. PanO Red Veil 2017: Yu Jing vs. Haqqislam Coldfront 2018: Aleph vs. Ariadna Wildfire 2019: Combined (Shasvastii) vs. O12 Kaldstrom 2020: Yu Jing vs. PanO Crimson Stone 2021: Nomads vs. Ariadna Since Aleph, Haqq, Combined, and O-12 have only been once, I think it will be two of those four. I think I'd like to see an Aleph vs. Combined. However, Haqq hasn't been in a set for a long time. Since they seem to be doing some "space" themed stuff lately, I think a revised QK vs. Combined would be awesome! I'd love to see more Vanilla or Onyx combined, Skiovoro, new hungries, etc.
I think next year's set will be Aleph vs Haqq, if just because they're the two major factions missing from Code1. Not sure if it would be a revised Assault section, or if they would bring a new Aleph sectorial. QK makes sense as the basis of the Haqq section, though it may be the Hassassin rework, since most of those new profiles are still missing models.
2014: Operation Icestorm 2015: USARF Army Box 2016: Operation Red Veil 2017: Beyond Icestorm & Beyond Red Veil https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/timeline-of-con-releases.39706/
I keep forgetting C1! You're right. It's probably perfect time for them to be introduced to C1. The sets are usually "Vanilla". So they could come out with figures both HB and QK.
We've not had that many Vanilla Operation boxes. Only Icestorm, the Yu Jing side of Red Veil, and O-12 (which gets a pass for not having any Sectorials at the time). Wildfire was actually Sectorial only as the Gwailo wasn't available in Vanilla. CB have consciously moved away from Vanilla starters, the only time we'd set another one is if we got a "Daedalus Rising" revamping the Tohaa range, or another brand new faction.
im almost certain there wont be another O-12 or CA vs operations box mix until the next edition though there will be start collecting sectorials for morat or Ur Rationalists or new O-12 faction. 85% sure Aleph next major box will SP, though judging from the re-release of MO i don't think there will any major overhauls (to address the issue of being THE force created solely to fight CA they are [at least perceived] to be one of the worst at it), maybe 2 more units, a unit redesign/ consolidation and hopefully an actual tag (not just a man licensed to be one XD ). there's always the possibility CB will make another unneeded sectorial like kosmoflot for aleph.... if the N4 lorebook is anything to go by Haq next update is the assassins rework aside from JSA (to 2 fold; even out the total armies for operation boxes and they are the most unique of lesser factions) i don't expect any NA2 in C1 operation Silk Helix :P
Onyx (reworked) vs. Tohaa would be my dream, alongside a new sectorial that combines Tohaa + Onyx troops to represent Sygmaa. ... it's not going to happen, but I can dream. I feel like Steel Phalanx vs. Morats, with both being reworked, is far more likely. Wouldn't be able to combine them without some MAJOR flavor-bending though.
it's going to be ALEPH and Haqq, as they're missing from C1, cause I think that Tohaa players will get the short the end of the stick again. Probably good way to re-introduce Steel Phalanx and probably QK.
Actually, Haqqislam trying to find out the secrets of Tohaa biotechnology makes perfect sense. Like how they "uplift" servant races, The bio armors, etc. They already have their own super soldier programs after all.
Well, Tohaa is my main Faction, so I did give it a huge shit. I already have collected most of the models, but it sucks not to be able to buy some things and not knowing what will happen to Tohaa in the future..
At least Spiral started out as an NA2 force. You didn't have it take away from you and given to a whole other faction. Even Vanilla Tohaa gained troops. I just hope in the future they stop making new sectorals and just revive existing ones. ISS needs an overhaul but sadly they will probably be pushed to the side and a new sectoral we didn't ask for will show up. Along with new profiles and figures that will take a couple years to see. I'm not a fan of the Tian Gou but when are we going to see a figure? Or Kahru? Or Nadhir?
Well, artichoke farm morphed from Tohaa to Spiral. So 2022 better not be year of the Operation Emerald Whirlpool. Because it will sound very "glup glup glup".
2022 code 1 two player battle pack Operation: Silk Road, Haqq Khanate vs. Aleph Steel phalanx. After tainted silk based drugs spread through the sphere, Haqq refuses accountability in international court so aleph sends the steel phalanx deep into the mountains of gabqar on a shock and awe campaign for the entertainment of the human sphere. Little did they know though it wouldnt be a walk in the park, and the gangs of the region have made enough money to amass their own army to protect their resources and interests.
