It's a bit I bought off ebay, I'm pretty sure it's from the Space Wolf Pack, which I then pinned and further added fur to the top of it through green stuff sculpting. Here's a pic of it unpainted to make it clear.
I have to finish these by the end of play this Sunday if I’m going to get them done in time for the challenge. I see some late nights ahead!
Am I the only one being frustrated by the #OPATHOME painting challenge's page being so full of incomplete projects ? I think it's a legitimate guess that @HellLois mailbox has been overwhelmed by last minute updates so it will take some time to get everything put on this page. But I can't help but think that so many people didn't reach the line. Being totally selfish here: I want to see all those minis painted. There's so many great results so far, it's a shame we didn't see more of them.
They might also have stopped at some mid-way point so not to spoil the results. I'm pretty sure we'll get a full view of all the submissions at the end.
I really hope so. Beside, it seems that CB did some social network posts but as those Facetagram thingies are less and less reachable without being part of it, I could not see those myself :/
I was chiefly expecting maybe a dozen people who actually do the challenge as intended. Really, any online thing you'll get a decent number of people sign up and like 10% actually commit. Or maybe that's just my pessimistic experience. I try not to focus on the three quarters of people who haven't finished or sent more than one pic but the ones that have and I find quite a bit inspiring, like that CA one with the color shifting paints, that one guy who did his Nomads in a stellar Khaki color scheme, or that other guy who painted white phenomenally for his/her ALEPH army. Even that madlad/lass with the glow in the blacklight paint was cool by my book. I do hope more pics come by the end of it.
There's more and more updates since last week. I totally agree there's plenty of gorgeous minis. Those nomad are indeed some of favourites, the aleph one too, and the dark Haqq, and the unusual chipped blue wolf and... And.... I just want more of those
Got there, just. I can sincerely say I hate batch painting but it was an interesting test. I painted these in the time I usually paint a single mini, they feel rushed and scruffy to me.
I must admit to being a little concerned now. I haven’t had an acknowledgement that my final entry was received on the 12th and there are no updated images on the website.
I'm pretty sure @HellLois mailbox was a bit under pressure during the last days so it may take some time to proceed everything and update the site. Next update is scheduled this Wednesday so I have stopped checking everyday to see more marvels My only concern is that it will be announced on the opathome page and not only on the social networks pages.
I hadn’t noticed that bit in the blurb on the website. I didn’t read it thinking it applied to the TTS, which isn’t relevant to me. Thank you for pointing out my error
Mine hasn't been updated either. And now it's the weekend. Maybe we'll really only see it next week during the raffle.
Results have been put online with all the sent images. Not much who missed the line so plenty of pleasure for the eyes there. Congratulations to the winners and to each attendee.
Ditto, amazing work by everyone! Now I want to see a gallery with a single, all models image by everyone to see the challenge result in its full glory. :D
