I just finished a TTS tournament and I wanted to share the list I played on 4 game out of 6 (+1 time with a slight modification)

I played the list on supplies, quadrant contrl, power pack and mindwipe. I used a slighty modified version (Bit => khd, caliban => coc, shrouded => FO) on panic room

    Liste tournois TTS 1 (Nourkias)
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────

    GROUP 1[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]10 [IMG]1
    OVERDRON Hyper-Rapid Magnetic Cannon / Shock CC Weapon. (1.5 | 63)
[IMG] STALDRON Flash Pulse / CC Weapon. (0 | 0)
NOURKIAS (Hacker, Killer Hacking Device [UPGRADE: Total Control (+1 Damage)]) Breaker Combi Rifle, Flash Pulse ( ) / Pistol, Vorpal CC Weapon, E/M CC Weapon. (0 | 47)
    CALIBAN (Engineer, Deactivator) Submachine Gun, Pulzar, D-Charges ( | GizmoKit) / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 28)
SHROUDED (Hacker, Killer Hacking Device) Combi Rifle, Shock Mines ( ) / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 25)

    R-DRONE Flash Pulse / PARA CC Weapon(-3). (0 | 7)
    ÍMETRON . (0 | 4)
    ÍMETRON . (0 | 4)

    GROUP 2[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]2 [IMG]1 [IMG]1
NOCTIFER Missile Launcher / Assault Pistol, CC Weapon. (1.5 | 32)
MALIGNOS MULTI Sniper Rifle / Pistol, CC Weapon. (1.5 | 35)
    TAIGHA Chain-colt / AP + Shock CC Weapon. (0 | 5)

    6 SWC | 300 Points

    Open in Infinity Army

The list is very objective oriented. The goal is to force my opponent to waste order to deal with my roadblocks (noctifer, malignos, taigha, overdron from time to time) while the caliban and nourkias perform the objectives and do some ramboing if my opponent make a mistake.

Bit & kiss provide some hacking defense defense and act as a back up specialist for turn 2/3. The shrouded also act as a back up specialist.

The ambush camo of the mentor has many use. A good oponent will often realise which camo marker is the ambush camo, so in more than one case, I will put an HD TO marker in the same location to cover a LoF he thinks "safe"

The strategy worked quite well resulting in 4 victory and 1 loss (against Military Order, the list lack tools against a full HI/TAG list)

Hope the list bring some idea to others vanilla players

Some special mention to 2 members of the list :
    - the malignos sniper : many opponent don't see it coming and his infiltration allows him to find very good LoF.
    - Nourkias : did a very good job, eating a third of my opponent list on quadrant control, forcing my opponent to waste a lot of order moving away from him on mindwipe, and owning the objective room for 3 turn in panic room (he only did one cybermask then 4 move turn 1 then stayed in a corner of the room for the whole game)

Noctifier and malignos is a spicy meatball. Love it.

I would feel a bit vulnerable if I used a list like this, with only one long-range, high burst gun. What if the Overdron goes down, and the enemy has a brutal defensive link on ARO duty? I can't argue with your great results though - but how did you defend yourself when you had to go second? In my experience, revealing a Noctifer in turn 1 just gets it killed.

First : remember my goal here is to play 100% the mission. If I see an opportunity for Nourkias to reach the enemy DZ and rambo : I will take it but it's not my goal.

Unless my opponent have a list similar to mine, he will have, at best, one heavy duty ARO, like a brutal defense link :.

Very few tool can bring down this kind of ARO and it's always very random and order costly. The goal is not to care about it. Unless the table has been badly designed, a defensive link should not be able to fully cover more than a third of the objectives from the DZ.

I faced it two time out of 5 matches with this list and had no trouble with it (both time Orc feuerbach in fireteam). There is enough camo/specialist in the list so you can perform your objectives while completly ignoring them (moving while camoed, cautious move...)

The Overdron is not here to deal with this kind of opponent. Hell : 2 game out of 5 he even moved up to the objective to cover it in suppressive fire (on panic room, he spend the whole game inside the panic room in suppresive)
He is a big obvious threat my opponent will deploy against : that suits me. He also is nice to put on short range (30-50cm) LoF to an objective (if the table allows it). Most specialist don't have the tool to deal with him with BS attack.

    Regarding TO Camo :

The noctifer is a good tool but you need to put a lot a lot of thought in it. For example, the noctifer will not be able to face a whole FT, but you can place it so it can prevent it from moving to a new spot without taking a template on 2/3/4 members.

ARO TO troopers should never be placed in a way where you opponent can level high B/high BS troop easily against them (or without huge disadvantage, at least -9). Unless you have a golden opportunity (removing half a FT, killing an AD trooper about to jump your DZ...), they should also not be revealed when your opponent can still bring lot of orders against them.

ARO TO troopers are here to make my opponent waste orders : cover place where a rambo will be after 3/4 orders, cover an objectives, cover the only place where the rooftop fireteam can leave it's rooftop... So I almost never reveal them before my opponent is committed to his strategy and the TO force him to make bad choices. If I can, I will even keep one of them hidden until turn 2.

It's even truer for the malignos who can take long LoF from the left to the right side of the table (instead of from DZ to DZ). This kind of LoF are great to stop rambo unit or specialists (who rarely have long range weapon) and are often hard to reach with heavy hitter hidden in the DZ

The taigha also complete them very well. If you manage to place him well, you can make him dodge 1/2/3 time while the opponent is busy dealing with your to.

Regarding playing second : I play second as much as I play first (when playing defense, the table became a very good tool). No issue for me. I have enough TO to make my opponent waste order and protecting my DZ against rambo (taigha and bit minelayed repeater are also usefull)

This made my day, what a sweet idea man.

My question is the opposite of the one pitched earlier. I can see how this list would play going second, but what about first? Does your rule of "100% objectives" still apply - do you do zero damage when going first and just aim for the points?

I very rarely play first but if I do I have three goal :
    a) do some objectives and start scoring points. In many mission where you have to push button, going first means your opponent have to run after you (taking back the boxes in supplies, take back console...). If facing another defensive list, I will be very careful doing that, paying a lot of attention on hiding my SK before pushing button
    b) add some defense : put the taigha mid-field, add some mines, spread some repeater/pitcher, cybermask bit & Nourkias and (more than once), advancing the overdron midfield and go suppresive (very dependant on the table and my opponent hacking)
    c) if there is an opening : use it. In a few game, my opponent made the mistake of letting a way open for Nourkias. I can pump 10-11 orders on him so he can do a lot of damage if he can reach the oponent DZ (plus, once he goes power-up 2, he is a pain do remove once gone suppresive)
