New player here wanting a clarification. I play Combined army so I will use an example from that.

EVO hacking devices give Assisted Fire and Enhanced Reaction to REMs. When I use the army builder and filter by REM it includes the Ovedron Batroid, Sphinx, and Xeodron Batroid. [In onyx at least].

I assume that they are classified as TAGs but the filter makes it unclear.

    A. They benefit from those programs.

    B. They do not benefit from those programs.

I can't find a post about this in terms of Combined and I don't know the other armies well enough to correlate it to other examples.

    Thanks.

    They do not benefit.

They appear in the list because of the pilot of the tag.

    Cheers

The TAGs you mention have Remote Pilots (Scindron, Staldron) that fall under the REM classification, which is why they show up when filtering by REM.
