Hi guys, got a couple of questions from the group: 1. So I dismount my Motorcycle. The motorcycle stays in the same spot with the same silhouette and doesn't activate with the dismounted model until it is mounted again. What if someone else wants to interact with the motorcycle? Can someone else mount it? What happens if they shoot it, what stats does it use? Can en enemy move through it? Can it be coup de graced? 2. Is this a legal "cheat" or are we missing something? I dismount my Crabbot from my Tikbalang. The Crabbot is a REM so my EVO gives it Assisted Fire. The Crabbot mounts the TAG again, transferring all its states (rulebook p109) to the TAG. I now have a Tikbalang with Marksmanship? Thanks again for all your help!
The motorcycle token has stats if you wish to attack it, and as a token it does not block LoF. I don't see anything in a quick look that would stop someone else mounting it but only troopers with a motorcycle profile will get any effect from it. You can't Coup De Grace as it isn't Unconscious. I think technically the Assisted Fire state would transfer but as the Tik isn't a REM it won't gain Marksmanship.
But you can’t be in b2b with an enemy marker though, for other reasons than to beat it. Can’t see any difference here.
Technically it's a Token, not a Marker, but yes it would still belong to the controlling player's army list. I think you could mount it with another rider from the same list though, so if you had a Dynamo Duo they could swap bikes, or at least I don't see anything that would prevent it.
Ah, I forgot the option of a friend using the bike. Good thing, promoting shared vehicles is a good thing! ;) thanks for answers
I would say no, you cannot use somebody else motorcycle as you cannot share a piece of equipment with anybody.
Doesn't seem to be addressed in the rules. Closest thing I can find is in the Remember box of the Motorcycle rule where it says: "Likewise, the General Movement Rules explain how the Trooper mounts and dismounts their Motorcycle."[emphasis added]. Which seems to suggest a trooper can only mount their own bike, not someone else's.
Concerning Assisted Fire on the remote pilot, the part that stops it is “if applicable”: When Mounting a TAG or Vehicle, the TAG or Vehicle Profile will apply all Game States that the TAG was in and all Game States the Pilot was in (if applicable). Assisted Fire only works on REMs so it won’t be applied. Keep in mind that that SUP:Assisted Fire token is tied to both the remote and the hacker running the program, because of the support ware rules.
Assisted FIre isn't a State, so the rule about states passing from the pilot to the TAG wouldn't apply in the first place. Assisted Fire is a Supportware program, which is maintained by the EVO hacker, not its target. I'd say that since the target of the program is the Crabbot, the TAG simply doesn't benefit from the supportware because it's not being targeted by the supportware. But in the alternative, even if the target shifted to the TAG, the supportware would have no effect on a TAG since it specifically affects REMs.
